I have the Collector SMG X and on the new Turian infiltrator It was chewing up armor on the Praetorian armor on gold reactor
I think I still like the Hurricane better though

The general consensus of people I play with, very good players, maybe some of the best (Stentron,Jay_Hoxatron, etc.) is that the SMG is not very good. The basic weapon at level I cannot kill a Silver mook and it is a UR. That is a problem.

Clip size is much better with mag upgrade, but Ebarrel and Vbarrel don't seem to help it much. Cooldown is far too long and we should be able to interrupt it without having to restart over and over and over again.
It's actual rarity should be uncommon IMO

The reason it sucks is because so many complain that the new weapons are OP and the boards light of for weeks until bioware nerfs it. So now they just being preemptive and giving you crap and slowly try to buff it. Maybe if some people would complain so much about "balancing" maybe we wouldn't get brand spanking new crappy weapons.

I completely agree. This weapon is a joke. The only other UR with that level of jokeness/trollness is the Eagle.

I completely agree. This weapon is a joke. The only other UR with that level of jokeness/trollness is the Eagle.
I still can't understand what BW was thinking making this weapon a UR.

I've only tried it on a Turian Soldier, it was awesome. You've gotta get used to it though.
It's not as good as the Locust/Eagle against mooks, but it's a lot more effective against armor/bosses.

A week later when already considered good, it got a "fix"/buff so it's ammo actually scales with level, making all PPR II - X's better. But it was already forgiven for it's sins by that time.
The new Collector stuff just needs the Prothean Particle Rifle treatment of actually figuring out how to use, getting small buffs if needed. Seriously, 4.4 damage, major? Those 10+ damage buffs on other weapons must be of Earth-shattering proportions then!
A whopping 4.4 more damage, multiplied by the 800 RoF, multiplied by the charged mode x4. Yes, a major one.

Well its UR because alot of people have maxed manifests and are ocd about completing them - its just another way of keeping players playing/buying packs.

Learn how to use it. Well, I have a measely Hurricane II and it is MUCH better than my Collector SMG I and how many people have it at X? No reason to ever use it over the Hurricane.
