Initial impressions on DLC

First and foremost, I am a casual gold PS3 player and I must say, the collectors are a very welcome and CHALLENGING addition to the game.

Now onto the characters I have unlocked:
Turian Havoc: Why is he a soldier? His gameplay is so similar to the human vanguard. Charge in and heavy melee. An IMPORTANT NOTE: his heavy melee gives him   A LOT of damage reduction. I know because the collectors were tearing me to bits but when I use his heavy melee, his survivability increases. On top of that, I highly suggest speccing stim packs for survivability because I hardly use weapons with him.

Turian Ghost: Haven't tried him yet but his tactical cloak is unique with the fact that it gives bonus damage to ASSAULT RIFLES. Will be very beneficial to my Harrier III. The way I set mine up, I have no need for overload because I use an acolyte X for stuns and instant shield stripping. Stim packs would be geared  towards survivability. Again, heavy melee for damage reduction. In this case, I mixed fitness with melee boosts as well as the melee damage evo in the tactical cloak.

My favorite so far: Volus adept. His biotic orbs are VERY useful and actually do decent damage as well as being able to weaken targets with the expose/pierce evo(last one). In addition, his light melee gives him TACTICAL CLOAK. Yes, tactical cloak for a very brief period. His heavy melee is some sort of shield I think. I dunno because I used it to kill off mooks easily. Second, his shield boost is UTMOST important to survivability and team synergy. Stasis is probably the LEAST useful of the abilities because I really don't need to stasis my targets.
