I had a problem getting connected to the servers, and then on EA support's recommendation I unplugged my router from the power cord for two minutes and then plugged it back in, and then it worked just fine. I forgot that you need to do that every so often to purge the memory buffer or something like that in your router because it can get clogged and screwed up. It may not be a fix for everyone, but it worked for me, and isn't too hard to at least try. Just make sure you wait a couple minutes before plugging it back in as many have a capacitor that stores some reserve power in case of a brief power flicker.

It's crashed for me pretty much at least once a day with the you've been disconnected from the EA/ME3 servers. Very aggravating. And it was very stable before Retaliation patch, after that, the disconnects began.

I get that a lot too. Other times I get the prompt to purchase an online pass which is odd since I am on the PC version. However I have noticed that this problem is most common during peak hours like during the evenings. Which means I can play if I don't sleep or durinng work.

I do have a suggestion to those who wish to play the game without the MP component. If the game tries to connect but fails it does a DLC check and yes I end up not able to play even my SP game. However if I turn off my laptop's wireless modem, the game doesn't attempt to connect therefore does not perform the checks and I am able to play SP just fine. For desktops might have to disconnect from ADSL, wireless, or unplug cable modem.
