The first is a mini (in more ways than 1) graphics editor which in spite of its name may well be useful in certain circumstances. It is the Greenfish Icon Editor. This actually handles things like layers, filters and transparancy. It will save images in png, pcx, gif and jpg formats as well as the more common icon formats.
The other tool is the Greenfish Relief Map Generator 1.4. This randomly generates, on the fly, images that resemble relief maps including grid lines and place markers. These images can be saved to disk in bmp format. The place names can be randomly picked from a text file that you supply or can be generated randomly.
Hope this proves of use to someone.
