I think it's fine.

What about it is fine?  If they are ready now, they should be out now.  Espcially now that they have been leaked

Why?

Seems like holding them back when they are done, and everyone already knows about them, is just wrong.

It's the right idea but it would be better if it was a new surprise every week. Still, not complaining.

I don't really mind this, though with my luck I'm sure this means my asari huntress will be the last one released.

Hopefully BW keeps variety in mind when picking which classes to release, i.e. the next few characters need to not be turian or volus if they really intend to release only 1 a week.

It's to keep us playing. It's a fairly shrewd business strategy that preys on our insatiable appetite for DLC.

Also, stop it with the "free" arguments.  BioWare does not love you or the playerbase.  It is all about the money.

Would anyone care to link to the comment where Bryan said this?

They've said "four a week" and "one at a time", which seems to me like they're planning to release more than one a week. ;)

It is more like making a good thing last. Also I do care about the playerbase.

Up top they might not care, at the macro level.  The devs who worked on this game, they have pride in their work.  They want the fruit of their effort enjoyed, and the fact that it was done at work is all the better. The dev team is not a "suit", their bosses are.
I ask that you not insult them like that.  The bosses might not care, EA's CEO does not particularly care, the stockholders do not care, but it is very reasonable to say that the people who crafted this game and its addons do.  So stop being such a hippie. grow up.

I can see the reasoning behind this decision.  Yes, it is to make a good thing last.  Leaves all those who have maxed manifests something to not whine about.

Well, it's working. Making me have to wait for the Volus Vanguard.. Keeping me hooked, working towards other new things in the meantime, and trying out other things til it's released.. Just diabolical I say!

So what, I just wasted 20 bucks worth of microsoft points for nothing! Trying to get awesome new characters and I end up getting the raider and argus leveled up, couple weapons I avoided in the single player mode.

Also what about people who found characters in the boxes, I saw some guy earlier today with a Volus sentinel said he's been playing non stop since the pack showed up.

I can see how this makes sense but... damnit.

The best part is you KNOW that they'd be the FIRST to complain after they were all released that it was too much at once, or that once they were released, it would be "where's my new DLC?" That's how those folks roll.

I want that Geth Soldier so much.  I have a feeling with my luck that that one will be released on week 12

Me too... Though, I can't help but hope they change Fortification to Defense Matrix, instead.

I dunno, it could have happened. Some weirdness is to be expected with so much new stuff and changes to existing stuff. I have my Turian Havoc maxed out on ALL skill trees due to some sort of experience glitch.

No insults anywhere.  It is a very blunt assessment of BioWare's business practices, and nothing more.  In fact, you've gone ahead and done the very thing that you accuse me of.

Just because Bryan is a dev, doesn't mean that he isn't at fault if he misspeaks here in the forums.  Now, he hasn't done anything wrong, but simply because he's a dev doesn't meant that he isn't incapable of wrong, nor should he be defended to tooth and nail.

So yeah, reported.

I won't play as most of them myself, compulsive role-player with limited characters to tie-in with the Mass Effect classes, characters, and races... but I can certainly see how this can be very disapointing to people who thought they were releasing six-teen characters, now down to twelve, in four-packs each week.
