I for one like that the new kits are stretched over the course of several weeks. Let's you try out the first 4 kits in peace. I usually found it a bit overwhelming to have to deal with so many new kits all at once when a new DLC hit. Now you can really breathe in the greatness of the Volus.

Haha this!

It's to keep us playing. It's a fairly shrewd business strategy that preys on our insatiable appetite for DLC.

Also, stop it with the "free" arguments.  BioWare does not love you or the playerbase.  It is all about the money.

It is more like making a good thing last. Also I do care about the playerbase.

Burned.

Stop acting like your entitled to stuff they make just because its ready to go. Its free. I can't believe someone would even whine about this. My god. Be grateful for bioware to still be putting stuff out for the mp for friggin FREE. They could just put out map packs and charge copious amounts of dollars like other titles i won't name, but they don't (im sure they still make their money back but nothing is forcing you to pay money) Instead how about thanking them for a change, im sure they would appreciate it.

How about 3 a week instead of 1? Otherwise way too long.

Their plan is just fine. And very sensible. When new stuff comes out people play it to death in short order.

Owned! I think Bioware really does hate us! They give us tons of FREE DLC and updates, and they continue to support the MP to this day and forward. Yeah, they just want to make money on FREE dlc. /sacasm.

I still don't have my Fury... I got 9 PSP's lastnight, HOPING for some good stuff... Not a single new character, or the Fury... If Bioware wants to stagger them, go ahead, makes it more interesting...

/edit - Hit enter too fast....

I say release them before each Bounty Weekend...  as a "General" called in to help the fight/mission for that weekend....  Or after (If we loose) as reinforcements because we need the help...

hey guys, lets release a new massive DLC with 16 new characters for free, but make our community wait up to 3 months after the it went live to get the character you want. That seems like a good idea.

Yeah, the entire idea of having to wait to even have a CHANCE of getting new stuff from a DLC is retarded, even more so if it takes 3 MONTHS for it.  I mean, I would approve of this tactic if it was a new character every 3-4 days or so, but a full week? It's a shame too; i was hoping for this pack would get me back into MP, but it looks like that's not going to happen any time soon..

Can't they both care about the playerbase AND profit? I mean they are a business afterall.

Also If I were an eccentric billionaire I would commission a game company to make me my own game.

it's fine. I'd rather have something new every week than all at once then nothing for months.

Like I said, I would be fine with it had someone not goofed and leaked them.  I would have liked to be surprised with them.  But knowing they are done and only going to be released a week at a time is very frustrating

The true essence of whining. Even without a goof people would have looked into the data files and found them and leaked them as well.

Abso-(tsssshh!)-lutely.

And, as much as I'd love to find a reason to disagree...

The weekly release of the BF3 Soldier / Argus / Raider was ok - because we didn't know if/that/what would be released. So it was a pleasant surprise. However, this time we are fully aware what to expect - not only as leaked info on the forums, but visible for everyone ingame, including the new skillsets. We might couldn't unlock them - but we could already adore our personal most wanted new char.
Releasing them now one at a time over the next 12 weeks - or if additional weapons are made available maybe in an even loger timeframe- would be somewhat cruel. Teasing us with new Chars and letting us wait for three, four or more months to actually get what we are looking for since yesterday? I for one don't like this idea. Releasing them in branches might be necessary given the sheer number of new chars, but this should happen in a way more timely manner of at least two or three chars per week.

What about it is fine?  If they are ready now, they should be out now.  Espcially now that they have been leaked

Why?

Seems like holding them back when they are done, and everyone already knows about them, is just wrong.

If all 7 courses of a meal are ready do you just shove them all in your mouth at once or one at a time?

People who agree with the OP give the rest of the playerbase a bad name.
I think releasing one every week is a great idea.
Keeps it fresh and gives everyone a chance to unlock one at a time, instead of every class at once.
Just think, Earth gave us 6 classes, but Retaliation is giving us 16.
In 2 weeks we'll have 6, equal to other DLCs, but on top of that we're getting 10 more.
What is there about that everyone is unhappy about?

Initially effective, perhaps, but there is an expiration date on when that just becomes increasingly irritating.

I dont think I'd want to eat 7 week old food. I mean, maybe if they froze it then heated it up to give it to me, it'd be okay.

But 7 week old food sounds nasty.

As long as the Geth Trooper's next week, i'm fine with the 4-week scheme. Gives us an extra something to look forward to each week.
