I think it's fine, 1 new character is enougg. We just got 4 new guys and a lot of people haven't even unlocked maybe any of them! I spent 3.5 million and only got the Biotic God and the two turians
And I haven't even had time to fully get to know how to play them effectively.
I think it's really cool, that we're getting something new every week, I might be the minority, but I like it this way.
On the other hand, what I don't like is, that they rotating the hazard maps, that just doesn't make any sense. Why can't we have all the six maps' hazard version at the same time?

One new character or weapon per week sounds just fine to me.

I think its fine. With all the new content and challenges I've more than enough to keep it interesting and fresh.

I think its fine. Although I do think they are hurting themselves with the strategy.

I think with releasing 1 character at a time people are less likely to spend real money. The slow release will allow people more time to save credits and unlocking 1 character per week sounds pretty easy. 4 at a time for 3 more weeks would probably net them more cash.

I'm saying no by not playing. I don't feel like waiting a quarter of a year to get characters with roughly the same skills/stats with the ones I already have.

i disagree and have no problem with them releasing a character a week....reasons:

1 - bw is a business and this is a business move to keep people interested in their product for a sustained period of time

2 - it gives us time to enjoy the new content at an unrushed pace....you can actually take your time with each new character, learn the ins/out, how you like to play with it; rather than a quick go and moving on to the next 1

3 - it gives us a better chance to unlock it as soon as it's released....if all you have to unlock is 1 character at a time, it's makes it easier to do....some havent even unlocked the ones just released....hell, some havent unlocked older characters....

For those that think it'll hurt them cause it wont get people to spend money, i disagree....we're talking about characters, which are easy to unlock....people will still spend money cause people still have weapons to unlock...plus, with the releases of the wiiU & the trilogy versions of the game, there will be more new people that join the community starting from scratch...which means more opportunity at people spending money....

It's to keep us playing. It's a fairly shrewd business strategy that preys on our insatiable appetite for DLC.

Also, stop it with the "free" arguments.  BioWare does not love you or the playerbase.  It is all about the money.

It is more like making a good thing last. Also I do care about the playerbase.

Come on guys, if the team didn't give a crap, they wouldn't be taking the time out of their day to come and post/respond in our threads or PM's.  I have been a part of many official forum communities, and right now Bioware's multiplayer (with Chris Priestley of course) really take the cake on this.

To be honest, when I played the MP I figured it would be dead and gone within a month or two, with dropped support ect. but here we are in October and these guys are still making DLC (from the funds by microtransactions) and still posting/balancing ect.  I bought 10 bucks worth of packs for the first time yesterday (money I worked for) to chip in, because seriously.  They may not do everything how I'd want, but community and support wise other game developers need to take a hint from them.

Could be that they are holding them back for final tweeks based off of how we play with what we have now?

Bioware just wants people to waste all their credits on the initial days of DLC so that later maybe somebody gives up and buys packs with real money.

Anything good that comes with this strategy is merely coincidental.

It's a solid idea. We get all of them at once, we get bored of it faster. The fact that we saw what's coming doesn't really change anything.

I mean, if I had one of the three characters I want most, I wouldn't even touch the others. Since I don't, I've found that I actually really like these new turians.

Owned! I think Bioware really does hate us! They give us tons of FREE DLC and updates, and they continue to support the MP to this day and forward. Yeah, they just want to make money on FREE dlc. /sacasm.

You really have no idea how a business operates, do you?

The developers, the ones in the trenches doing the coding, checking, and making may love us, but to the people in charge of the devleoper's paychecks, it's a business, we are customers, a business stays in the black by making profit that exceeds it's operational costs.

I have no doubt Bryan loves us, I am also under no illusions that to the bean counters and money providers that I am a payday.

I would complain if there wasn't such a large amount of original content. There's so much stuff that honestly I'd lose track of it all if released at once.

I HAVE THE SAME NEW PLAYERS (2 TURIANS AND 1 VOLUS). BUT NOW SOMETHING IS WORST. THE REST ARE NOT IN THE LIST (1 EXCEPTION IS THE ADEPT VOLUS THAT I HAVENT UNLOCK YET)

Releasing 1 at a time seems to me to be a bad business idea. I would think more people would spend more real money on packs if they released them quicker. Releasing 1 a week gives people a ton of time to build up supplies of credits for unlocks. If they release 3~4 at a time then it seems more likely that people, wanting the characters fast, would spend real money.

What about it is fine?  If they are ready now, they should be out now.  Espcially now that they have been leaked

What if they're not ready now? You don't know that. I PM'd Chris and asked why they were using re-skins of existing characters. He said they weren't. Perhaps he was talking about power sets (those who saw the character portraits said they were re-skins, so I myself am doubtful), or maybe they're taking the time between release to polish these characters up. We'll know in a few weeks, since they may release the Volus and last Turian before they do any of the others.

Edit: one a week sounds fine. It'll keep me coming back for more.

12 weeks is a mess, especially for the people that aren't interested in Volus or Turians.
So the 'enjoy what you have' saying is null & void for those people.
I don't know,if they didn't leak it on the manifest,It wouldn't be so frustrating.
They have to think about things like that business wise, what about the people who may have spent credits on packs thinking those characters are out. Even real money.
Either way I hope Bioware comes up with something else because this is kinda lame.
