It's early, but Havoc's charge may need help

Sure it looks like biotic charge but that doesn't mean you're supposed to use it like it's biotic charge

In the gold games I've played so far, Havoc's havent had any trouble staying alive. But then again, I was playing a volus adept set up for spam heals, so that might have had something to do with it. Very good combination, by the way.
I've noticed that if there isn't anyone around to help with shields, those Havocs go down relatively quickly unless they are staying back and shooting only.
I've played three matches and just dont' see an option on how to charge successfully other than picking off stragglers.

That's what I'm asking, how are you using him?

Usually works really well, unless my ninja evade gets caught on cover someplace.

I spec his stim packs for max shields. Use a stim pack, charge into a group, kill who i can and ninja escape with the jetpack.

That's the only option to me on how to use it succesfully on G/P. Even with this strategy, you need to spec for at least some extra shields in fitness or you are going down so that almost eliminates the melee strategy. That would force you into specing for duration on stims only and even then, they only last a measly 9 seconds. The Havoc needs some work.

cryo blast was a poor choice I think. He would have been better suited with proxy mine, or something
Agreed. I see what they were trying to do since they've changed how cryo/fire explosions work, but it doesn't do nearly enough and Cryo is much too easy for enemies to dodge.

The Havoc is also addicted to stims and totally breaks down the second you try to take them away. Unfortunately, the Infiltrator being more overpowered than the Gethfiltrator means that you're hosed for supply -- my stock of 4 lasts the requisite 36 seconds, then I get to sit in a corner and cry until the shakes wear off.

I've tried multiple ways to spec him, melee and weapon and unless you are burning stim packs everytime you charge, you are unlikely to survive on higher levels. Cryo blast was another option for bursts, but that yields little success as well. I can make him work and I may be missing something, but there are far better options and the charge only ever puts him in danger without the option of it replenishing shields like a Vanguard.
Thoughts?
Equip grenade capacity five. Use charge, immediately use heavy melee, immediately use jets to jump backwards, cooldown on charge is ready, repeat, use stim pack and weapon inbetween as needed.

EDIT: I play mine like a human novaguard. Charge in and heavy melee everything. Also, AT-12 Raider X to the face...
Played like this on gold. Stopped doing this on wave 7+.<_<

I've done this, but it's pretty much a death warrant without stims.

It is called dodging forward and melee'ing.
Gives you twice the options to back out of it too.

Considering how beast the turian infiltrator is I do think he can be underwhelming unless you spam stimuli packs and keep mobile. Just beware of any grenade classes in the lobby. They can render you useless.
This to the utter maximum.
