For those who may not have seen the wonderful volus adept in action, you should. After today he has become my favorite class. He can hurl biotic explosions like nobodies business with his orbs and stasis and he can tank like a boss with the shield restoration ability.
Pyros and bombers in your way? Afraid you'll be killed? Volus to the rescue with full shields and 1 second immunity!
Dead and surrounded by enemies? Volus to the rescue with a biotic combo, and a cloaked revive. Still worried about being shot down with those low shields after being rezzed? Fear no more for the volus will fix em up in a jiffy.
Also, the description for him says "with biotic powers nothing short of godly."
Dat biotic god.

They're fun to play aside. Volus are welcome on my team anytime.

It's pretty cool, actually! I just got it moments ago and it's fun to play, but I can't help it but to feel a bit silly to play as an volus.
and about specs, I used 3/6/6/5/6, the level 6 of biotic bubbles have an 3 times stack that make enemies more vulnerable to damage, that's pretty darn useful against armor.

I specced mine 6/6/6/0/6, but I'm not sure the fitness helps enough. Also I specced Expose for the Spheres and it is the best possible decision, Expose is super OP.

I'll have to look at my build for exacts, but I maxed all powers and ignored the volus training completely. I haven't seen the engineer yet, but with decoy+combat drone he looks sick as well. Regardless the shield restore ability is great and when used properly makes your team near impossible to kill if you stay in a group.

Just played silver as 6/6/6/6/0. I figured I'd play full squishy mode.
I specced for bubble, pierce, restore duration. Carnifex with 195% CD
It's an interesting kit, very much support role. can still set off my own BEs but the CD is long to be anything like the fury for BE boom machine. I think with the right team it'll be a great asset.
Gotta get used to not being able to take cover though
