Player Shield/Healthgate removal is the worst thing to happen since the Vangaurd Glitch.

Currently anything using an automatic weapon will down you instantly if your shield gets close to zero, since enemies do more damage to health than shields.
I propose since they removed the shieldgate of players that they either give everyone a 30% bonus to base health, or make all enemies deal 50% less damage to health.
It is annoying to die in one canibal burst if my shield is even around 20%.
On a side note Volus health is too low, plain and simple. I get they have a free cloak but it doesnt last, and with the shieldgate removal all I see with any volus player around is a dead volus every 4 seconds.
As is Volus taking up an ultra rare is an injustice to us as players, as an ultra rare we get a character that is seemingly useless outside of being a support. Even then they die so often its hard to understand the logic in their design, hard to support while your dead every few seconds.
Hope Bioware sees this, and I hope they listen. I am fine dieing to something that should kill me, but a few stray bullets just shouldnt be what is killing me every single time.

Pretty much dead all the time now. Especially stupid when I've just popped an ops pack that is gone from one hit.
Oh, and having full health, full shields. One hit from an atlas that doesn't completely kill shields but DoT's my health.

you ever been shot by a cannibal since the patch....while at full health and shields? been shot by 2 ? yeahh.....

To anyone saying that the shieldgate was not removed then you either have not played on anything past bronze or are very out of the loop. Shieldgate is gone, and it makes no sense.
I have not been able to do gold since I am afraid with the changes to this mechanic being so hard even on silver that gold would be impossible without a coordinated team.
Heavy attacks are not meant to "Bleed through" your last sliver of shield that is the point of the shield gate. Canibals should not be killing me in 1 burst if I have any shield, yet they can do over 1k damage to my health in one burst, but it takes them 2-4 bursts to take my shield from full to zero that makes no sense.
I would like Bioware to coment on this, it upsets me to feel so weak even on silver when I normally can walkthrough it almost solo. My skill didnt go away, when im not getting shot I can wipe out an entire enemy squad rapidly. But once you get shot you die much faster than you should.

Atlas rockets now have DoT, you know. That melts through the 40 health in your last bar before you can even recover from the stagger to use shield regen.

From what I've seen in Silver and Gold, the shield-gate itself seems to still be there, but its duration has either been reduced or disappeared entirely. One shot from a Scion will only bring me to shield-gate, like its supposed to, but damage from other sources will immediately affect health. There used to be a split-second after losing shield-gate where you wouldn't take damage, but it seems to have disappeared.

Well sure if they gave the enemy 100% bonus damage to players below 20% shield, but more likely they just took away OUR shieldgate.
People thinking its a bug, it is not it happenes every single death it is not a bug. Bugs only happen every once in a while, this happens to me every death now.
If your not noticing it your either - Playing Bronze - Not getting shot - or not very observent.
