Player Shield/Healthgate removal is the worst thing to happen since the Vangaurd Glitch.

Totally agree. I get the feeling that it's not intentional because, as seen in the posted YouTube vids, it all appears wonky (off, somewhat random, etc.).

Whether intentional or not, some acknowledgement either way would be fantastic. :)

there's video proof on page 8.
The game is MUCH harder now esp with the new cover flushing units
Means more time out of cover, getting shot
More deaths
More medigels

All kits, all maps, on or off host.

And again they are still there you can save an atlas and step out into his volley to test this. The problem is they don't have a split second CD anymore so any rapid fire weapons take players down faster than ever. Doesn't sound like much but in essence shield and health gate do not exist against rapid fire enemies. Step out in front of a lone Marauder and see what happens.

I got killed in an explosion caused by the Collector's abomination, with my shields up. Happened twice in a round, so it's either something's up with the shieldgate or well... the explosion is supposed to do that?

Yeah they're treated like a grenade, they are supposed to kill you like that.

RedJohn has commented that something has changed as well. I doubt many would consider him a scrub player.

I think I noticed initially because I play Cerberus Adepts / Vanguards, and seeing as I don't like wall smashing I tend to get shot seven ways to sunday. Hopefully we will get a comment soon - even an acknowledgement or statement that the bug will be looked at.

Yeah they can kill a whole squad just like a grenade you just get no indicator like you do with a grenade.

An exploding abomination can take you right down to the health gate even if you have full shields. However, the explosion also sets you on fire, causing DoT, which then kills you.

I discovered this in detail yesterday as I kept shadow striking possessed abominations by accident with my N7 Shadow.

I only noticed this with the ghost using stimpacks; popping one, only to have the entire shield plus some health entirely eradicated in 1 shot from a scion, I didn't die because this was on silver.

But this is easily explained that shield AND healthgate need a few seconds to become active again; just because you have your shields doesn't mean the gate has been restored, this was no different from how we could still get instant killed after using an ops pack(pre-patch); my shieldgate was already gone plus I was at healthgate when I popped that stim.

So yeah for me it's still working as intended.

Something is definitely different. I've died very unexpectedly to mooks a lot in the last few days. By unexpectedly I mean like when you die from a grenade you didn't see, except there's no grenade, just mook gunfire.

ok this explains what i am seeing and why i feel like i am going down when i shouldn't be. I had around 25% shield on my GE, 1 cannibal steps around the corner and i am down.

hello !!!? what has changed is new enemies units and new faction ! not gating system
just because you don't know the patterns of new enemies and die more you need an excuse huh ?

what's with people talking about rapid firing weapon now killing you faster, marauders and such never gave a **** about gating system and have always been priority targets

i'm not ignoring the fact that people struggle, i'm merely stating this is not the reason for their struggle

My turian infiltrator has stimpacks for mega defense because Stealth-Tanks rule. Done rolled up against a Scion. I said "Pssssssssshhhhhyearite, I got 4000 shields bring it," cloaked, popped stimpack, and got ready to get hilariously destructive with my Harrier.

Except I got oneshot.

Ain't nobody got time for that!
