Player Shield/Healthgate removal is the worst thing to happen since the Vangaurd Glitch.

It's harder, but not cheap at all.
From a certain point of view,
If you maxed out your shields and health and still get taken down by troopers on silver that could be cheap. I would expect some type of protection if I diverted my skill points from other areas to give full power to shields.
But as it is now you really dont get anything from it.

Wrong. It is pure luck. If you don't even have the chance to react to certain situations, that is not challenging, that is random. A challenge would be if you could react. But if you just die like that, without even having the chance to avoid death, that's not a challenge. Oh look, you just happened to turn the wrong corner, ah well tough luck. No, that's not how a challenge works. And with the newly overly aggressive enemies with pinpoint accuracy accross the entire map, this wrong corner feels like every corner now.whateverman7 wrote...

no, but his health went down so quick that if he were in cover it wouldnt have really mattered, im not just complaining for the sake of it, im complaining because i was ablle to do silver and golds before this dlc without dying, now because of the increased difficulty and staggers its become nearly impossible to play without getting frustrated, also keep in mind that i probably dont have the same amount of equipment and gear as you because my manifest isnt even close to being maxed

It's obviously meant for demonstation purposes... jeez.
Anyway, pay attention to the video, pause it if you have to. When he's down to the last sliver of shields his health is already halfway down and dropping fast. Literally no shieldgate whatsoever.

people like you are just plain annoying, you probably die 3-4 times a game so you dont notice the change, i used to NEVER die, now im going down 2 to 3 times a game, the vorcha is completely worthless, and krogans die as fast as humans when sheild gate is down, stuff has changed for the worse. and did you really call me Itz? holy crap your an idiot
edit: and the point of my previos comment was to say that you probably have cyclonic module, incendiary ammo 3, weapon amps, etc that make the game easier, whereas i dont and that might be why you dont notice a difference

Oh, less damage, no question. The gating has always been a terrible mechanic. The fact that there's no difference between 50 shield and 500 shield is stupid. This is not Mario or Zelda, it's not "lose three hearts and you're dead," it's a game with linear, granular numerical scaling and you're supposed to actually gain something meaningful by going full Fitness.
Of course, that would take the second-to-last shred of advantage automatic weapons can pretend to have, but the flat DR on armor has always been a terrible mechanic too...
