Player Shield/Healthgate removal is the worst thing to happen since the Vangaurd Glitch.

I've been a gold player for awhile now and I've never experienced such a high number of mission failures (not getting to extraction).

edit: and the point of my previos comment was to say that you probably have cyclonic module, incendiary ammo 3, weapon amps, etc that make the game easier, whereas i dont and that might be why you dont notice a difference

the attitude of this thread and others like it is a representation of the new generation gamers...they're soft when it comes to gaming...they want people to walk them through it, hold their hand through the finish...it's a reason devs are making games easier nowadays; games you cant die; in some cases, games that will play themselves for you....yes, there has been a change to make the game harder....as a gamer, you should adjust to that change, not ask for it to be made easier...is it frustrating?yes...is it unplayable? hell no...

that's not the case if you work together as a team....if you lone wolf it, you'll be pissed at the change cause you cant do like you did before...if you work as a team you'll find the game frustrating, but in a good way....all the change did was make you work together as a team more.....it is a co-op game after all....

This is not some hepothetical gamers' attitide and it's not about challenge. It's just about cheap artificial increase in difficulty. Cheap as the Geth, in fact. As many-many people said in the thread, many classes are now pretty unplayable above silver. You wanna play SR infiltrator or stay in cover all the time? You won't go down easily. If you enjoy meleeing or agressive behaviour, you are screwed. I can't really top the scores with my Vorcha anymore.
What is worse, I don't see the need for this change.
AND BW are silent again

Which ones do you consider as an effective melee build for gold? Is shadow a melee build? Is GI a melee build?

shield gate and health gate are still there it's a fact
some people say it's the invulnerability they provided for a few tenth that disappeared hence why they die to troopers easily
but there are plenty of pre-patch video, and in none of them i was able to see any invulnerability frames after hiting the gate
troopers have never given a **** about gates, a lone marauder was always able to insta-kill a geth with no fitness, HM on, and no cyclonic mod

Due to the difficulty change, you now use more consumables, and many players have to move down a difficulty to get any enjoyment out of the game. Both of these result in fewer credits, which they're hoping means more money in their pocket.
