Player Shield/Healthgate removal is the worst thing to happen since the Vangaurd Glitch.

Guardians are not really affected by the gates as they fire six-pellet shots with the Talon.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. It must be a patch bug or something, ever since the patch it has been like this.

It's hard to get by right now, I used so much consumable of late.

Shield-gate and health-gate are definitely on their places and working. What is REALLY changed that previously we had a half-second (or maybe a whole one) of invulnerability after *-gate was kicked in. That was what saving us from auto fire and such. And that was what saving us from instakill by guardian with its six-pellet-shooting Talon.
Now this invulnerability moment has been gone away.

Tbh, I don't care about the exact defenition. The game is broken now, the problem needs to be adressed and fixed.

well we've gotten buffs tenfold for every nerf.
elemental explosions
numerous weapon buffs
overall power creep from the new classes

now the enemy is just catching up, and most of us have gotten too fat and slow and lazy to remember how to learn and adapt to a new enemy

Not sure what the heck they did but I don't like it, we go down far to often and quite often you do not even know what hit you, shields and health are dropping crazy fast and in many cases forget trying to get back up.

Not sure about you guys but just finished a match with reaper on gold with Tsen. Felt normal, shieldgate and healthgate is function. I don't think that it was changed.

Perhaps it's about the death animation fix which cause you to feel like surviving but the host think otherwise and you suddenly drop dead.

Well, since I'm at work I can't really do in-depths checks. What I did was a short bronze run to wave 4 vs. Cerberus.
Health- and Shieldgate themselves working as intended. Currently the missing invicibility frames seem like a plausible cause for the different feel.

I'll probably record my games later today to analyze them afterwards.

I'm absolutily fine with making the game harder. But this issue has nothing to to with making the game harder. Not knowing what just kills you even on bronze would be the cheapest way of implementing higher difficulties. Playing as Asari Vanguard yesterday was a pain, as if the 'Charge- not always firing bug' wasn't enough, my shields constantly went down no matter what hit me. Bronze and silver difficulty.

I had to resort to 'kill stealing' in order to survive, usually I do care to not charge enemies already being delt with by my teammates. I got so paranoid that I kept shooting a already dead marauder until my teammate reminds me 'Whoa, it's dead already'.

Adept? I can adept to a lot of things. But this is just unfair, if it was implemented intentional. If I go down, I want to know why. If I use a gel, I don't want to find myself a splitsecond later reduced to a tiny slice of health left.

You are wrong.
It totally sucks, and so does the gist of this opinion.

Try me? Ok. Yesterday and the day before, I played Gold and saved 3.000000 million. It was FUN. I did not need (get it--N-E-E-D?) so MANY consumables doing that. NOW I DO. 

Today, it is V-E-R-Y difficult even getting to Wave 10, NEVER MIND full-squad extractions.

And another thing...
Whereas post new DLC, squadmates in the PUB lobby not using equipment, well, was negotiable when certain factors (i.e., N7 rating, weapon levels, character LVL etc.) were considered; now, considering how ridiculously difficult the game (Gold) has "suddenly become",  this has had to change (i.e., No consummables--destined-to-die--no thankyou--please leave). Which, in many instances, causes ugliness and unpleasantries to be exchanged.

You think I like THIS? This "less win, but more lose" play change?
Clearly, if you do, you are either disturbed, delusional, or logically handicapped.

And, for the record, I dislike immensely the whole "Rah-bollocks-rah- adapt", or " Boo-hoo- Man up" mentality. It is gross, vulgar and Neanderthal.

Either health gate is broken or we are experiencing a bug fix of some sort...

I guess with the dead camera fixed, the damage immunity given by shield and health gate (a minor immunity for sure, less than a second, but a god sent nevertheless), without this minor immunity we are dropping dead on a single and powerful weapon burst.

Silver definitely doesn't seem to be any harder than before to me. But then, I never really depended on the shieldgate due to my playstyle anyway.

Healthgate definately existed yesterday pre-DLC. I have not tested it since, but either this is a very irratic error, or it happened with the DLC.
All I know is that I was farming yesterday just fine and being constantly on healthgate on my vanguards whenever I solo-zerged into major groups.

Shieldgate and healthgate both exist. I end up on one or the other fairly often. There just used to be a momentary delay between when your shields went down and when your health began taking damage and when your health went down and you died, because for a brief moment, all bullet damage was negated. I'm pretty sure that the difference now is that the delay is gone. Our shieldgate and healthgate function very much like the enemy's did on Gold at launch; a portion of the projectile that takes out the shields will be negated, but that's it.

That's what I think, at least. It's always the rapid-fire weapons that kill me faster than I was expecting., and an individual shot from a nemesis never takes out health as well as shields or kills me outright.
