edit: I too experienced the feeling of having died a little faster than usual thanks to the new death animation. Might be connected to this bug.

It still used to stop at shieldgate/healthgate, because it provided a brief moment of invulnerability.cgj wrote...

I guess that's how we could test this, assuming their Talon shot actually fires multiple projectiles; kill everyone but one guardian and see if it stops at shieldgate.
Shield- and healthgate both work with Nemesis. Must have been something else.codename2o2 wrote...

Yeah, I was playing vs geth and Collectors with a paladin just now, and I would medigel to save myself from a stomp, start slamming my ED hotkey to get shields back, and die before I'd even gotten control of my character back. There's basically no point to medigel right now if there's anything worse than one single trooper-level enemy within striking distance of your bleeding corpse. That's definitely new.

You are incorrect, sir. I have medigelled under the foot of Phantoms, Primes. Pyro swarms and Banshees and rolled, cloaked, charged or Ops Packed to safety more times than I can count. Off host. It is the standard response to being downed in the middle of a crowd you know your team won't be able to kill in time to get to you. There's the risk of geth stunlock or boss sync kill cutting your escape short, but simply dying to moderate damage post-rez does not happen if you're fast and have the right tools.

Health gate seems to be working (at least occasionally) look at the team arelex volus speed run at 4:32 the health gate is working as intended. Maybe it is this health/shield gate cool down that I have been hearing about. I hope Bioware can look into the issue and check if everything is working as it should, it is hard for the player to check this on his own.
