From the very top, at default screen resolutions for late model laptops, you shouldn't have been able to get better than "Low" image settings with that low quality video card. It is possible you attempted Medium yesterday, but somehow didn't get it until today. Or you intended to run your default resolution, but the game's configuration chose a lesser one, and only today, it's trying the too-high pixel count, and just can't manage it.SmexySpartan wrote...

Screen resolution makes 8-10 times more difference in frame rates than image quality settings.
Next, if you do not have an actual Core Two Duo, your CPU is also minimum for the game, so you can expect it to really chug in any mob scenes. The Pentium Dual is just a Celeron by another name, gutted of most of the cache in exactly the same way.
What is your resolution setting? Higher than 1024 ny 768 (or whatever the matching pixel count version in wide screen amounts to) ?

Thanks! That makes alot of sense considering i hadnt restarted the game and given it a chance to change the video settings until today!
my resolution is 1024 x 640
would choosing a 4:3 ratio help it speed up more?

No it shouldn't be a factor, and if you ran at 1024 by 640 both days, I am at a loss to explain the differences you are seeing. Try rebooting the laptop once more, and running the configuration utility in the game first (making conservative choices if the utility does not do so for you). Also, if you didn't let the game log itself into the web site yesterday, don't let it do so today.
