One thing BioWare games have never been that great at is adding the feeling of traveling and exploring the world. With a game like KoTOR or ME it sort of makes sense just picking the planet you want to go to from a map, but for a game like Dragon Age it's a bit of a let down. I think BioWare should try and fix that with DA3.
Now I'm not asking for DA3 to be sandbox, nor am I asking for them to remove porting from location to location via the map. What I'm asking for is something inbetween. Zones between the main areas of the game that you have to travel through. Using DA:O as an example, instead of leaving Lothering and having instant access to Redcliffe, Denarim, Orzammar etc, they would instead be locked out until you travel to them (once you've been there once they'd become unlocked on the map) and to travel to them you'd have to go between different zones. You'd have the same thing with questing. Instead of instantly being able to port to the quest area via the map, as was often the case, you'd actually have to walk to get there.
If my explanation above makes no sense, just think of what the Fable series does, but a Dragon Age version of that.
I think this would help open the world up and make it feel a bit less restrictive and also allow BioWare to add some really cool things to the game, such as hidden caves or bandit out posts. It could even be a way for them to work horses and possibly wagons/carriages into the game, something I know a few people have being asking for.

I'm definitely pro exploration. I like this idea or even if they open up the surrounding areas around the hubs would be cool too.

I completely agree. There was a fairly robust discussion about it a few months ago, too: http://social.biowar...dex/12359605/1.
Horses seem somewhat unlikely, though -- especially since you would need to accommodate your companions.

The exploration in DA2 lacked. In DAO it was better. I think if the explorability in DA3 was just a little more open than DAO then it would be perfect.
I use the level of explorability in games like Ocarina of Time or Kingdoms of Amalur. It's explorable, but not so insanely open (like Elder Scrolls) that all the game's resources are dumped into it.

all i would need is to be able to walk all of one city without a load screen (i.e in denerim to walk through the back alleys to get to the pirl and all the other stuff) in there if we are leaving the city that they can give me a map to quick travel to but when in a city it's kinda dumb to need the map for it

I would like traveling zones between areas.
I would also prefer that the zones not be combat heavy.

I hate exploration. I hate travel zones that are inevitably filled with damn stupid bandit - or random animal - attacks to waste my time.
To give a sense of travelling, there are cutscenes, Indiana Jones style map stuff, and potentially encounters. Though I plead with Bioware to not waste my time with bandit attacks.
