I tried to buy some Premium Spectre Packs, but I don't think it actually worked!

I bought 2 packs, but I never actually saw them open.
And when I asked it to show the last pack opened, it showed the contents of the Victory Pack, which I opened before I bought the Premium Spectre packs.

The points were deducted though.

I'm reluctant to try a 3rd time now, because if it's taking my Bioware points without actually giving me the packs, it is costing me money (because I paid for the points!).

I sure hope I can get those reimbursed......

Edit: I managed to claim one of the packs by restarting the client, not sure where the other one is.

Looks like it just vanished.

I guess I really can't trust that store anymore!

Darn, I really wanted to upgrade my Collector Assault Rifle and get some of the new characters in the future!

Good (well, not really) to see I'm not the only one suffering from this issue. The only way around I've found to make it work is buy a pack with BW points, completely exit ME3 to windows, then load the game up again. As soon as I enter the Multiplayer section, my just bought pack opens up.

Obviously, this is a very time consuming and possible way to loose the BW points as although it hasn't failed yet, who's to say it won't the next time.

Bioware, please do something about this issue.

Cheers

when you buy with points you need ot close me3 and exit origin then restart and on entering multiplayer you should get the pack popup, if you dont get all of them then contact EA support about it its a bug that sometimes occures but they can check on it and either give you the pack items or give you back the points

The fact remains that it is a terribly long winded process just to open the pack you bought with BW points, as opposed to it opening immediately when purchased with in game credits. I'll point out that I do not think it is an issue with recognising the points, as the appropriate amount gets deducted each time, before needing to exit ME3 and re-loading it.

EDIT: The time thing can be demonstrated by me being able to write each of these posts whilst trying to buy a couple of packs :?, and we all know how quickly the game checks for online connectivity, and then downloadable content...

I too have been affected by this. In fact right now I'm waiting for 3 PSPs that I've purchased.

Every time I buy a pack with BioWare points I have to exit out of the game altogether, then log back in. This takes up a fair bit of time thanks to the 'checking DLC' etc that you need to sit through twice. Upon entering multiplayer the pack is credited to my account.

I noticed, though, that sometimes if I bought multiple packs it can prompt the system to deliver the missing ones all in one go. For example, I bought 2 PSPs and one Spectre pack and upon buying the Spectre pack all three were given to me at once.

This time, however, I am stuck on the 'Please Wait' screen, and have been for about 10 minutes. I am going to try to exit and restart. It is just such a pain, though. A total waste of time and honestly I don't feel like putting any more points onto my account because of it. I spent a small fortune on the PS3 version of this game (more fool me!) as it was a doddle to add PSN Points and spend them in-store. Not so with the PC version, unfortunately.

dont get me wrong the sheer frustration of the whole process and it taking anything up to 20 minutes to purchase a few enforcement packs was enough to stop me buying them, i tested it out after the latest patch because i some spare bw points after buying dlc's for dragonage and wheras before it took me 7 minutes to complete the transaction and receive the items (restarting me3/origin and getting back ot multiplayer char screen) this time it actually took 12 minutes caused in no small part by the constant flashing up of the "me3 has stopped responding" notice when it freezes up

the latest patch was listed as "fixes memory leak causing the client to stop responding on entering the main menu"
what it did was increased the problem by adding in a second dlc check with a corresponding 1minute + time delay untilll you can move the cursor, not to mention adding in the same problem everytime you enter /exit the store, and several times adding in an extra problem to do wtih searching for games / freezing you on the loading screen when trying to enter lobbies or games before your either kicked from a game or "lost connection"

they really need ot fix the netcode of the game not to mention fix origin so it doesnt keep causing problems the old me1/2 process was far simpler but then they did the same thing wiht da/dao>da2 and the common denominator is origin since both the new games use it when the old ones didnt >>>

I have the problem several people have mentioned ( I tend to buy quite a few packs via BP ) where you click on buy with points and it either gives no error message while not giving the pack, or just sits at Please wait indefinitely. Luckily, at least for me it always shows up after I reboot ME. The problem is because of all the verification steps to make sure its a legit copy of the game it sometimes takes 5 minutes to spend $3 on a PSP and when I spend $15 it can take almost a half hour to get all my packs actually to show up. Seems like a backwards business method to me. I'm paying real money for a product that opens flawlessly every time when I spend credits instead but it bugs out 9/10 times. Otherwise still absolutely love this game, just makes me less willing to spend the real money at times :(.

Same issue here. Bought Premium Specrte Pack. After cca 25 minutes of idle "please wait" I exit the game via task manager. When I got back to game, it announced that purchase was unsucessful. Points were deducted and pack nowhere. Damn. What now?
