Well this isn't good... 3 posts... and no delete option... nice.

Lol, well this is a beta site. Well now I know I am royally screwed up, I think I redeemed the codes to my old Bioware account, the one that you can login with your display name and I have no idea if it is possible to log into the game with that account. This really sucks.

Impulse users: The service.CMD file listed at post #24 in this thread : http://forums.impulsedriven.com/368287

Did the trick for me. Follow the instructions Zoomba has there. Be sure to run the file FROM the directory it's supposed to moved to.

From the thread says, Impulse didn't include a component of the Dragon Age updater service and the CMD file repairs it. Mind you, this is all heresay and speculation from the forums so take it for what you will.

All my stuff downloaded. But it isn't showing up as installed. I redeemed all the codes. Very odd. I wonder what is up.

Awesome, thanks HemisH. My crap is now downloading.

Just to elaborate on what you've posted:
I didn't even have the service in my service list, so I had to install it using installutil.exe which is located in the %windows_directory%\\Microsoft.NET\\v2.0.50727 directory.

So to install just do:
Run cmd.exe (Make sure you're running this as an administrator)

And at the command line do:
cd %dragon age directory%\\bin_ship
%windir%\\Microsoft.NET\\Framework\\v2.0.50727\\installutil.exe -i .\\daupdatersvc.service.exe

And the service should be there.

It's possible this would have been solved just by running DA as an administrator for the first run through. I remember having to do that with Mass Effect.

My Windows 7 security settings are softened a little bit so it might be why. I must say I didn't make my friend try to run as administrator (totally skipped my mind). Maybe the service would have registered itself.

Edit : I also cleaned my post. What I'd like to know if running the dauptader.exe like I added creates the service without going through your workaround :)

For Impulse users that fixes it. I'm still waiting for the Warden's Keep and Stone Prisoner to finish to verify that it works, but all the others have downloaded and installed (enabled with a check mark).

Yeah I keep mine on the hardcore Vista-like settings because I'm paranoid.  I tried running daupdater before installing the service, and it did nothing.  Mind you I didn't try it as admin, so that may have affected it.

Apparently you need to be Administrator to install them (at least that's what I read in another thread)...

I am also having this problem. Logged in fine....Codes redeemed okay, but nothing shows up in the DLC tab as available, downloading, or installed. Yes, I am logged into the same account. And I also made sure to hit the little refresh icon on the DLC available tab. I logged out, and back in, and no change. This is quite problematic.

Oh, and I am running Vista, and would like to see something from Bioware on the issue before trying to guess at this.

>_>

After restarting the service, and setting it to run as Administrator at all times, my downloads are kicking off as we speak. Looks like I forgot the Golden Rule: Blame Microsoft first.

Still a hastle though.

Same issue. I redeemed my Deluxe Digital Edition codes on the website, then started the game, logged in from the Downloadable Content section... and nothing. All the tabs are blank. No content available, no content downloading, no content installed. They're all blank.

I'm starting to get worried.

I had the problem before. Redeemed the two codes but get nothing. Follow the link above fixed the problem. Seems like the "daupdatersvc.service.exe" in the "bin_ship" folder was not installed correctly. Now I just finished installing every extra contents.

I blame EA. The same sort of things happened with the release of The Sims 3.

Something else to think about.

Just to test things out, make sure your My Documents folder isn't redirecting on another drive or partition than the Dragon Age game itself.

Some people in this situation had the service installed and still had the issue.

I couldn't access the DLC in the game, but after uninstalling microsoft.net and then downloading it, installing it and updating it through Windows Update, everything worked just fine...

I'm having an issue with the fact that I can't install my DLC. I purchased the deluxe edition through steam, it downloads fine (100%) but nothing shows up under the installed tab. I ran it as administrator and such. Any ideas?
