Alright I am tired of hearing people say DA3 is gonna suck since ME3 and DA2. Alright besides the fact DA3 isn't even out yet and we don't have many details on it is ME3 was made by a different team so it is irrelevant to DA3. And DA2 main problems were caused by an extremely small time limit if I remember right they didn't even have a year so they had to recycle the environments and they really couldn't make all out choices show up. So don't blame the DA2 team for that blame the person who gave them the time limit. My point of this is people saying DA3 will suck because look how ME3 and DA2  were make no sense since ME3 was a different team and DA3 is being given a lot of time to be made. Anyone agree people who say this stuff make no sense

DA2 was released before it was finished and it showed.

The Old Republic was released before it was finished and it showed as well.

ME3 was released before it was finished and it definitely showed.

I'm seeing a pattern here and I have no reason to believe they'll do differently for DA3. Even though they said they had been working on it for 18 months now they could've easily counted the time they worked on that cancelled DA2 expansion as well. Which would mean they didn't truly start working on DA3 since about 6 months ago. Which would give DA3 a dev time of about 18 months if it releases holiday 2013. That's about the same as DA2 received and we saw the results.

I'm not saying it will suck though I will remain very skeptical towards DA3, for obvious reasons. I'm not getting burned by EAWare again.

It will suck if it's rushed. It will do well if Bioware takes their time with it.

Oh I agree it wasn't a direct sequel like me2 was for ME1. It was a different story after DAO events happened

The game has a projected release date of late 2013 so I'm guessing November. That's 32 months after Dragon Age II. Plenty of time to make a great sequel. Not every company needs to be like Blizzard and spend 8 years making a game.

Oh I agree the amount of time it is getting is great all I am saying is that people saying it will suck just because DA2 and ME3 did (I thought they were decent games not talking about the ending) are full of s***

Its ok to take a skeptical view towards future bioware games if you are not liking what they are putting out - ill buy DA3 on release, if i dont enjoy it i may start buying Bioware games on a discount. Ill never abandon them unless they really start making truly bad games, i love RPG's but ill play anything genre as long as the game is decent.

DA2 was rushed, corners were cut, design flaws overlooked. But to say that the game's only faults were a result of a shortened schedule and not because of a flawed decision making process (the same kind of flawed decision making process that hurt ME3) is to be too forgiving. Sorry, I expect better from BioWare and they haven't been delivering. Until they give us something to talk about I have no problem with hanging their previous work around their necks.

DAII had some things that did not work well. ME3 had so, too. So had DA:O, Knights of the Old Republic and Baldur's Gate II. Nothing is ever perfect. It's just that Bioware's shift of focus (more accessible, faster gameplay; cinematic storytelling; and what not), makes people who don't like this shift much less forgiving of faults. And with each new uproar, people feel more justified in being offended, as previous "debacles" confirm their view. The discontent in the Bioware fanbase will never go away, I fully expect the reactions to DA3 to be worse than the ones to ME3, no matter it's actual quality. It WILL have something that won't work all that well, and this WILL be made an outrage.

I loved both DA2 and ME3. The forums simply hate everything Bioware produces...until the next game comes out.

When ME3 came out, suddenly ME2 became a masterpiece despite all the previous complaints of "not an rpg."

When Origins came out, it was heavily criticized for not at all living up to BG and being "dumbed down for consoles." Since DA2 came out, people can't stop singing it's praises.

I guarantee that the forums will despise DA3 when it comes out and DA2 will start getting a far better reputation.

I did not think that DA2 sucked. I like the game. My friends (who have played all three games in the series) liked ME3 and said the game was great. They did not understand the disappointment. People of this forum have stated they liked 95% of ME3 but did not like the ending. So because of that 5% the game sucked to them.

I liked DAO and DA2. I am sure that DA3 will be to my liking. Posters can say whatever they want regarding the game. My opinion remains unchanged.

Complaining about complaints is unproductive.

End of line.
