The Krogans would probably win physically, but the Elites are generally smarter. That's to say that Krogans could win a fight, but Elites would win a war.
Brutes (Halo) on the other hand - they'd give Krogans a run for their money. Tartarus's Gravity Hammer vs Wrex the Battlemaster? That'd be something I'd like to see.
