Huh. I'm finding them really easy. They're actually the top-most of my Cerberus kills in my challenge list right now. Their lash animation is so long that you can just back up and plink 'em to death with an SMG.
If there's more enemies behind you, it's your fault for getting sandwiched. Tunnel vision in this game = death.
SRSLY who designed the Dragoon?

They are not hard to take down, but they are super annoying and just feel unfinshed. They are totally out of pace with the rest of Cerberus.
Nice development. AI out of year 2000. Run and smash. That's it. Ignore everything. Run and Smash.

Dragoons are like Assault Troopers that come to you to get slaughtered, instead of you having to seek them out.

To be honest, with only two games of exposure I haven't had enough time to notice those details. If they're silent, that IS a problem.

The worst: He uses the same model as the Phoenix, in Hazard Dagger you can barely distinguish who is your ally and who is Cerberus.

With Incinerate/Cryo splosions now the Dragon is not such a big problem, Crusader also works very well.
But don´t get overrun by 2 or three of them, especially on extraction.
And they virtually always move in packs of 2 or 3, soooo.... yeah.

Seriously I love the addition. Cerberus was a cake walk before them. They are extremely aggressive now, not as boring as usual.

LOL I had this VERY same problem. I went down and someone rushed over--thought they were going to revive me. Instead, it was a Dragoon stomping me.

Is that why packs of Dragoons could sneak up on my team and wipe them out in all my Cerberus games last night? I'd be holding down a sniper position, and boom a pack of three Dragoons would be behind me.
Yeap. Bastards don't make a sound. They are more phantomy than a Phantom.
Don't forget the stealth Pyro. Hopefully a future fix is adding some footstep sounds for armored troops like the Dragoons and Pyros. Phantoms I usually notice by the sound of their palm blasters.

They are hard sometimes, but that is what is great about them, I think that is what the additions are about, making things more challenging for those who have been playing a while.
& @ greghorvath, love your sig, it is so fun to do that either between waves or when you just need to get your barriers back up & that is the closest thing you can lock onto -lol!

Just finished a glacier run 10 minutes ago. Batarian Soldier ftw. Team stuck together to focus fire which also means spawns all over the place. Atlases moving faster now and somehow the turrets seem more accurate as well so moving space is very limited. It was very intense. Must say I enjoyed it...Eric1975 wrote...

Interesting assumption. I played Cerberus last night on Dagger with hazard and standard Glacier. Both times on Gold. Didn't have a problem with maneuvering away from Dragoons, but then, I was using a Fury after all and maneuverability is not much of an issue.
Dragoons came in big bunches and they all went down easily.
Collectors, on the other hand.... ouch.

Their agressivess is boring, cheap and dumb. A freaking brute is smarter and has more complicated AI than a Dragoon. Dragoons are no smarter then husks. I think they used husk AI on them .

Exactly the case. I find that as I play more on Gold, my situational awareness has to be ever higher. The fact that we don't know what cues to listen and watch for when playing Collectors is very telling, as last night we kept on getting surrounded, then swarmed, then stomped to death. Everyone would continue to pop up with medi-gel and then get stomped back down because it was too late.
Same thing with the Geth bomber. No one knows what to watch for and to get out of cover as soon as you see/hear one coming, so we wait for the grenades to fall, then try to get out of cover but bam--stun lock and BOOM.
It'll get better with time, I'm sure.

If you're a camper, you'll probably hate them. If you're used to actually moving around the map, they're an easy way to deplete the spawn budget.

Thank you. I had a real screenshot too but thought times new roman with colours would be funnier. People always post stuff like xyz[toothpic]praetorian, but I though I would show people that some of us take care of the real threats as well...elooocin wrote...

I agree. The problem remains on many maps, from my experience. If they're coming at you, sure, no biggie. If there's a group of you close together and one dragoon gets in the middle, he's oftentimes REALLY hard to see. It's annoying as fruitcake.

I'm not a camper and I'm always on the move. When playing with a team or soloing. But Dragoons are ridicilous. They just come at you full speed even if you are cloaked and chase you around the map shooting you trough cloak. It's a simplest piece of coding I have ever seen for a human AI in this game.
They are really in Alpha stage.
