Sorry but your arguing a personal opinion as fact, which it clearly is not. That looses cred with me. And as I said earlier, they add a depth the Cerberus team has been lacking. A true in your face death machine. Which is why I like them.

Thats kind of like saying you duct taped a canoe to the side of your car, because it was lacking side canoe. It wasn't actually lacking anything, it just didnt have it because it didnt make sense to have it, the same way it doesn't make sense for a slow push faction to have reaper style units.

What do you generally do when you have a glaring weakness?

Fix it. I just don't pretend not having a canoe taped to my car is some kind of weakness... Cerberus was the slow push faction, it allowed people to have the option to play a bunker down game if they wanted to. People who hated that had reapers, people who wanted a mix had geth (except on FBWGG, which was admittedly a little rediculous). Now there is no bunker down game option, because someone fired a half baked unit into a faction where it doesnt even fit. Having a faction be slow pressure is not weakness. If they were too easy (debatable) the correct response would have been to make them tougher, so they had more time to apply pressure, not to mess up the entire feel of the faction by thowing in a wild spaghetti monster...

I'm glad that Cerberus finally has something else (other than phantoms) that you should take notice and adjust your tactics accordingly. Fighting the same old Cerberus was getting a bit stale.

I haven't had a chance to do gold yet, but on silver Dragoons go down fast with the FQE -- a little Cryo Blast and Incinerate makes short work of them. In fact, after reading the posts here on the board, I expected far more resistance than what I encountered.

Their resistance to death isn't in question, it is primarily their tactics that is under scrutiny.

They seem to 'cheat' moreso than other units.  Similar to Geth Hunters - identifying exactly where you are, and gunning straight for you without stoping... at a pretty hefty pace...

The only difference is you don't always see the hunters because they're cloaked until they're on top of you, so the behaviour is just as silly, but masked by the cloak, both literally and figuratively.

"Whahh, I don't want to have to change my play tactics, whaaaahhhhh."

Your mom designed the Dragoon. She wants you to stop playing easy mode ME3 for farming and realize there's daylight outside.

This just goes to prove that nobody will ever be happy with this game. "Too easy, too hard. The ending sucks! I want everything now and not have to work for it!"

No wonder the Doctors quit. At this point I'm starting to beleive the "Revolution" TV seriese should become a reality and nobody can play these games that are so terrible.

We're just too spoiled as a society, I swear.

I find I can stagger them quite easily with the Falcon.

Sure if they get close you are in a bit of trouble.

Falcon, maybe, but hitscan weapons do nothing.

Well, I didn't notice that at first, but after observing it a little, I must say that the Dragoon's walking animation looks weird. He's just too fast.

Yes, a Volus just said that.

I haven't had any problems with the Dragoons. Me and my squad usually kill them before they crack their first whip.

I understand why they have Armor health, but I don't like that they do when they don't look like heavy units compared to the Trooper/Centurian/Guardians. Would prefer if they changed to Barriers/Health and give Armor to one of the other bulkier looking soldiers.

actually though, the real problems with those guys, is that Cerberus has phantoms, they don't need another 'vanguard' being 10 times better at melee and just as good a sniper as she is but with lower survivability ( one may protest cause you can't stagger them easily)

i mean, played against cerberus, and it just felt like they got a different version of phantom

The problem, like with collectors, is numbers.

Two dragoons could be manageable but with these crazy waves the game becomes a retarded slapstick.

I am very dissapointed with the balance work of enemies in this DLC, straight to the point. It's the same cheap work of Platinum difficulty. A challenge is good, cheapness and A.I. cheats are not.

Their tactics seemed to consist of run straight at me and die.  Sure, they'd try to use the whips, but sidestepping pretty much negated their effectiveness.  They did manage to sneak up on me once; pretty startling, I'll admit.

All that said, their movement animation does not seem to mesh well with the speed at which they traverse; it just looks odd, like they're gliding over the landscape.  If Bioware wants them to move so quickly then the animators should probably adjust the Dragoon's stride to appear more like a hustle than the Jazzercise powerwalk we currently see.

Also, is it just me or do the Dragoons' whips not make any sound when used?  At least, I don't hear anything like the "HRRRRGH!" the ex-Cerberus' units make.

I haven't had problems with them yet, but I've only faced off with them using the new characters. I know they can stunlock you pretty badly; at least that is what I hear.

Just played the batarian soldier against them. Stunlock ain't that bad, but the fact that there are three of them coming to rough you up at a time does makes things problematic...

Yep, individually there not much a threat, and are pretty easy to dodge, its just when you get overrun with them is where things get problematic fast.    I (Krogan Soldier) usually just stagger them with Carnage and go for the headshot, if one gets close, heavy melee and headshot.

They are so badly designed! So out of place.

Did they get added in Alpha stage of development?

1 They move too fast

You can cc them.

2. Never take cover (EVER)

Take advantage of that.

3. Make cloak useless

No they don't

4. Make snipers against Cerberus super hard to use

Super hard is an overstatement.

5. Hard to stagger

Know what to stagger them with

6. Make no sound when running

Neither does any of the other foot soldiers. At least they shoot you when running as a heads up.

7. Make practically no sound when attacking

See above.

The Dragoon is no as bad as people think once u kno how 2 fight them. Only thing I don't really like about them is that when they use smash the seem 2 close the gap between u and them almost instantly

Really the main problem with the Dragoons is the amount that spawn at one time.

As much as people say Cerberus are pushovers without the Phantoms....their actual main strategy is to gang up on players. With Nemesis sniping, you can be overwhelmed with Troopers gunning you down.

With the Dragoons added now...it does make it even worse. Because while trying to take them on, you have to deal with

Phantoms coming towards you with their God Hand.
Nemesis removing shields
Atlases and their new DOT Rockets
And Troopers, Guardians and Centurions gunning for ya
.

All at once. While being Smashed by 3 Dragoons.

Is it doable? Yes. But kiting is usually your best bet.

Soloing Cerberus is so tedious now. You can't kill Dragoons, because new respawn and are on you again. You can't leave the drone or hack area and kite the enemies to another area and then comeback. Dragoons will sprint after you in a second.

And now that we have soloing challenges this is a legitimate issue.

All in all - Dragoons are sloppy, lazy, half-baked, half-assed and stupidly designed. I expected much more.

The whole feel of the faction has changed now. 4 Dragoons in later waves is just freaking dumb.

Harder is fine. Cheaper and more dumb is not.
