How about people realize that Bioware is making this game harder so they squeeze more money out of the players, then those people move on...

Harder is fine. Cheaper and more dumb is not.

Well, I don't think they're thinking along those lines (:

They are so badly designed! So out of place.

Did they get added in Alpha stage of development?

1 They move too fast
2. Never take cover (EVER)
3. Make cloak useless
4. Make snipers against Cerberus super hard to use
5. Hard to stagger
6. Make no sound when running
7. Make practically no sound when attacking

1. Needs to be nerfed.
2. That's fine.
3. That's fine as well.
4. Eh, I haven't had problems yet.
5. Needs to be nerfed.
6. Needs to be buffed? For sound? I dunno the term for that haha
7. Needs above as well.

I don't mind the addition of these guys...it makes sense. If anything, they just need a bit of tweaking.

If anything, just give them sound and change the animation.

The lack of sounds is stupid and should be remedied, but unlike the preatorian (they pretty much do the same thing) at least they can be dealt with in no time.

I dont find them that hard to snipe or kill...

though I DO find them really annoying its essentially another phantom to come and wreck your ****

the lack of sound does make it a little.... detached

How does that work?

People pay for frustration? Show me that masochist.

Like many have said - they just feel like a lazy design.
THERE ARE ways to fight their smashes. When the animation starts you just roll and you evade the smash. You could also heavy melee which will stagger them for sure.

But their AI isn't any good. No AI in this game is good lol. I was deactivating an objective and one was running right at me. THEN just 2 feet away he turns 90 degrees and smashes the wall. Really.

There is no tactic involved. Barely for anything in this game. You just see them and kill them ASAP or you wait till they reach you in which case you nade stagger them/use explosions/melee.

But the smash spam is just unjustified. Give them charge if you have to. Make less of them. Make their animations slower.

Huh. I'm finding them really easy. They're actually the top-most of my Cerberus kills in my challenge list right now. Their lash animation is so long that you can just back up and plink 'em to death with an SMG.

I found it successful to stagger with a biotic charge, then a Wraith shot to the face. Everything else hasn't worked so far.

I'm really gonna have to take another look at them when I get on tonight because man, I really didn't even think they were a problem at all, but y'all seem to be saying they're ZOMG HORRIBLE. I really only played two rounds though. Hmm.

And no, I'm NOT a good player, FYI. Thoroughly average.

I like them overall, but they do seem sorta underdeveloped. It seems like their AI is akin to being a heat-seeking missile. Mostly they just seem quiet though!

They're not terribly hard to snipe with an SI, although they recover fast from Energy Drain. I agree that the movement speed is too fast for an armored unit, but Cerberus now having a bunker buster unit makes them more exciting.

Hit them with hard-hitting long-range weapons, Biotic Explosions, or leave them to someone that can actually do those.

You're not responsible for every kill on your team. Fight what you can fight, and leave alone what you can't.

I used a raider with a volus and was staggering him every shot, thought he might be too easy to stagger.

I dodged his attacks cause he slows down every time he lifts his whips up, sorta like a slow mo effect.

I managed to kill him by just keep spamming sheild recharge and shooting him, and running my poly ass away whenever he gets halfway through his stagger and attacking right when he slams down.

And they have armor, eventho they look like they have LESS armor than the normal troopers who have NO armor.  That just bugs the hell out of me, On the look at that all cerberus should have armor imo.

It's very strange that they seem to have absolutely no chatter at the very least, let alone much noise for their smash attack.

Dragoons are agile and super fast, they also dodge.

They have ARMOUR too.

Somebody sees controversy? Either give them health&barrier as phantom has or make them slow and not agile. Dragoons also look exactly like Phoenix classes which often gets me killed.

That's kinda the point. They fill the assault gap and area control Cerberus lacked. They're also ridiculously easy to stun.

I played a Cerberus Silver match last night with my Batarian Soldier.
Everytime one of those bastards would get close and try to whip me, I'd hit them with the blades and stagger them out of it.
That long animation is there just for you to punish them.

This is the primary issue with them. Playing against Gold Cerberus yesterday more often than I wanted they would end up sneaking up on me whilst dealing with other threats because I could not hear them on approach (given they use the same voice as the regular Troopers--which definitely should be changed along with no discernible approach sounds) as well as the fact that their Smash needs some sort of initiation sound effect at the very least.

Everything else about them is completely fine. They simply need something that lets the player know they're lurking somewhere looking to smash your face in. Every other unit on Cerberus has a discernible vocal sound effect to allow the player to acknowledge their presence and the Dragoon is in need of such a thing.

Agreed.  Armor (and armour) on these guys is silly.  I get why cerberus would benefit from an armored mook, but these guys don't pass any of my common sense tests.

They would still be challenging if they weren't able to zerg rush at sprint speeds, especially to downed players they intend to give the boot. And being armored means they're immune to pretty much all forms of control.

Cerberus went from an A) use tactics and clever use of cover to B) use overwhelming force to out DPS them before they can get close

They need to have some of these changes made:
*Not spawn four a spawn
*Not move at incredible speeds
*Not be armored so they can actually be controlled

They are great. Amazing to balance Cerberus. Challenging.
