they act like suicide bombing robots, lore wise, only way BW can say that they're working as intended is if they say their completly indoctrinated like husks but their cerberus special ops.

Def agree that the sounds for this guy aren't in the game and that's a lack of design. But the problem always is blaming the programmers or staff. Dont blame them. Blame their bosses that don't do the most important thing which is SUPERVISE.

Thye probably need to have their Smash base cooldown increased to 8 seconds  Image IPBImage IPB.

this, and honestly, the only thing I find annoying about them is that they're hard to stagger. not cool. too hard to stagger for their speed.

Smash cooldown, stagger, and not sure why they can move towards you while Smashing. It has happened several times when I back up as they raise their whips, and they seem to take two or three steps towards me as the whips come down. It doesn't seem fair that the player remains static while Smashing, but these guys can move.
It seems the only way to avoid Smash is to roll away. :( No run and gun against these guys.

Maybe it's best that their Smash attacks aren't exactly like ours.

I mean, our Phoenix characters can use Smash and heavy melee near simultaneously.

So far I've played 3 Plats and about just over half a dozen Gold against Cerberus and I have no idea what people are complaining about.

Honestly Centurions cause more trouble than them. Dragoons run at you like they WANT to die as fast as possible.

Complaining about ****** AI that doesn't bring ANYTHING NEW into the field, nor does it fit in Cerberus. Not about how hard they are.

Then what's the problem? ****** AI is easy AI.

See? What's the problem? So devs can add anything for you and you'll be happy? How about and instant teleporting phantom? It teleports and stabs you. Thats it. Easy AI. Happy?

You never addressed the question, you just made a hypothetical that in no way related. There's a difference between an enemy that "never takes cover" and is a "******" and an instant teleporting Phantom.

So what's the problem with Dragoons? An enemy that never takes cover and is a ******? How are you having trouble beating it? What are you doing that means you're struggling?

Grrr. Again. I do not have trouble beating anything. Enough ammo and patience beats anything in this game. I'm not happy, because the devs took the lazy route with the Dragoon. Ripped the model, didn't add unique sounds or chatter, didn't add unique different tactics and the challenge they bring is FAKE. It's brute force AI from 2000. Dragoons do not work with the rest of Cerberus. They just run and melee. You kill em. 3 more spawn, overtake everyone again and just run and melee. PERIOD.

Just the fact that they ignore cloak completely shows that they are hacks.

Dragoons obviously play COD. Run at you like a headless chicken kamikaze, die, instarespawn and do it all over again.

I understand that there needs to be cover buster units to keep games more mobile like the reapers, but their implementation is just bad.

Fair? It's supposed to be a challenge, isn't it? That's why people left, because there was no challege for some, it got boring. What ever happened to gamers who strived to overcome obstacles and improve their tactics/skills instead of asking for nerfs. The basis of this thread saddens me.

So apart from some seeming glitches (sounds and seeing through TC) they're fine? They run and melee like Phantoms, or bring "fake" challenge like Phantoms and running and hiding Nemesis?

Sounds like you're blowing this way out of proportion. The fact that they're so simple to beat really makes your complaining about them incredibly strange. What is it you want Bioware to do? Make them harder?

Probably just to make them behave like the rest of Cerberus instead of a Reaper unit?

Make them harder in other words. A stunlocking character that moves in packs and behaves like the rest of Cerberus (flanking, hiding and baiting) will make them much harder. All other stunlocking troops behave like Dragoons, making it so you can get surprise stunlock flanked by ememies that will also retreat and stick close to other enemies will make them much harder than they are now.

Phantoms care about themselves. You damage them, they run, cloak, hide. They "pretend" to search for you and generally don't speed at you at 200 MPH to melee you at whatever cost.

I want the Dragoons to fit. To act as human. Not as a husk or a Geth. I want them to take cover and act intelligently. I want them to "look" for you instead of running straight at a cloaked player to melee him. I want him to work with his team.

You don't have to convince me, I made my stance on how easy they are to kill pretty clear a lot earlier in this thread. I'm largely in agreement with the OP about the Dragoon's AI being overly simplistic, and I would have liked to see a more complex AI than just "lolololololololsmashmeleeelololololsmash".

But truth be told, I'm having too much fun in being able to find maps other than white/glacier with random enemy factions for once to care. If giving Cerberus a unit that doesn't really bring anything new to the table that wasn't already covered by husks, brutes, hunters, ect... along with modifications to Glacier/White is the price to pay to break up the monotony of every PUG being on one of those maps then so be it. It doesn't make the game any harder than it was before for me, just more interesting now that I can actually find U/U/G games instead of FBWGG or FBCGG

I don't mind them, they're a nice addition who do there job well.
Not much trouble at distance, in close range its a bit hopeless yeah but then why are they getting that close? Unless they sneak up behind you in which case learn from your mistakes and check every possible location where they could come from.

Adjust, change tactics and move to a new position. If you can't do that, then well... you suck. They are made to put you out of the comfort of cover and I welcome the challenge.

So just harder.

One thing Cerberus doesn't need is another buff. Phantoms and the new Atlas are already challenging enough, we don't need to introduce retreating Dragoons that will also start flanking you and baiting you into traps.

I don't have a problem with them if I take them down before they get near me but once they do which depends on the character and weapon, oh boy all hell breaks lose. They are very quick and you can't use stasis on they also. Every enemy has some form of weakness except the bosses. These guys have none. This makes it annoying along with the points made the the OP

Dragoons are just another enemy that favours shotguns, AR's and discourages snipers. (and they were already underused)
