I shoot between the eyes and it seems to work. Especially with the Turian infiltrator. Cloak --> sim pack --> shoot until dead. Been working for me a lot and with the harrier and the CAR, it's stagger city for that praetorian.

I'm always go for the belly. I'm not sure if that's his weak spot in terms of damage, but it sure makes him roll sometimes. Probably it's like banshees — you have to deal enough damage in given time and it gets staggered (rolled over in this case).

The funny thing is that I got a headshots medal after killing one just now. So obviously it has some kind of head. The problem is... it was a nonscoped Widow shot between cloak cycles so I have no idea where I hit it.

Hard-hitting weapons right between the eyes seem to make them roll over like a sad puppy.

It rolls over when you shoot off the chin plates protecting the collection of husk heads. Shoot the husk heads to do extra damage.

Between the eyes is a weakpoint. I got a 20-headshot medal in a Gold game after shooting an Praetorian right between the eyes in that white bulbous thing with a Black Widow SI.

I briefly thought the guts/wiring that you can see between the crabhead and legs seemed to take more damage at one point, but I tried replicating it, and it didn't work the second time. No other weak spot as far as I'm aware.

Agreed headshot, especially when it has its mouth/maw/mandible open. The purple-glow shield seems to block my shots from doing extra damage; I counter with a proximity mine (salarian infiltrator) or overload (Turian ghost).

Best damage seems to be in the line below the chin, and in the jaws. Eyeshots do nothing, so far as I can tell.

Yeah, I play the infiltrator character =D

Shoot its breastplate. It will fall off and reveal the HUSK SACS

The "stomach" area.
Shooting it there requires the thing to be right on top of you, so be careful.
My strategy is to trap it in an enclosed space(like a staircase) and open fire from both sides.

If you want to kill it fast, shot at the belly, at the begining it's covered by plates, but after some well placed shots, it opens showing something like heads (i believe that are husks heads) keep shooting at it and you'll see how the Praetorian falls quickly.

When it spawns

After shooting at the belly, it opens, showing the weak spot

I want to figure out how to blow off the compartment. Inside it has a collection of skulls that looks like the weak point

Once I found one at the top of some stairs with its back to me and it seemed to take more damage from fireballs hitting its underbelly than I normally inflict. So maybe killing Preatorians is a job for brave/foolhardy Volus.

I used my saber to open up that weak spot with 3 to 4 shots, so i believe that you need a lot of firepower to open it.

the weak spot can also be hit from the flank when the plates are still on, when its after your buddy.
at least it seemed that i was doing more damage then, theres is gaps on the sides where the red stuff is showing.

but otherwise ya the frontal bottom plates when barriers are down.
also not sure if its only high power weapons, but with a graal or claymore i sure do like watching them fly backwards in a painful manner and the squirming to their feet hehe.

I'm gonna try shooting the plates under the head to see if it falls off. But just an little strategy I found, not sure if it was mentioned, but when the praetorian hoovers really fast toward you, the chest plates open exposing those husks heads, shooting them will make the praetorian fall like an drunk hornet.

After consecutive battles I have indeed found a weak spot. Shoot it.........

EVERYWHERE.

The belly.

The bottom plates open up, when possessed I do believe, took it down by 50% armor with my Graal earlier. <3

1.  Use the Turian Ghost - bring both the Collector SMG & Collector Sniper Rifle

2. Activate Tac Cloak & approach the Praetorian

3. Replace it's Particle Cannons with the two Collector weapons you brought

4. Stand directly in front of it & deactivate your Tac Cloak.

It will eventually die from frustration after emptying both clips into your face without leaving so much as a scratch.

It'll go down much faster if you arrange for a group of mooks to witness the whole event - I think it buffs the frustration by adding humiliation, it's like your very own insta-kill

Yup, the undercarrige is a weakpoint. Shooting the plates off, or approaching from behind or flanking makes it more accessible.

Also, dropping grenades or mines under it seems to do the trick. :-)

When in doubt, aim for the eyes. All's far in war. (or just use fire...)

I shoot between the eyes mostly, although I don't think it really works any better. Grenades or mines underneath it do help, as I saw when playing a Collector game while leveling up my Human Soldier.

I laughed so hard at this. You, sir, deserve a medal. Posted Image
