...*headdesk* And Andulvar just had his first system-freeze. Andraste's ass, I hope they find a fix for this soon.

Edit: Heh. Figures.

And this one technically counts as posting a Gackt picture, since Gackt was the basis for Genesis:

Dunno if it was just me, but aside from being incredible, did anyone else notice the fingers+thumb?
The level of detail on the thumb is just right, you have't overdone but you haven't under-done it either. And the shading on the fingers is exquisite. I really don't mean to gush but... it's wow. Especially for being born out of MS Paint. Seriously. :o

I'm slightly fixated on hands (it's why I smashed Alley's in IO), so they get lots of detail in every pic. I'm glad its noticeable, especially since that hand is the closest visible part of him to the "camera". :)

*sigh* whenever another thread gets stupid and sexist I can always come over here... wow, there's a lot of porn here.

Well, we are the Zev-thread.

You could always add appropriate Zev's to them and post them here too.  *offers cookies hopefully*  It will help me cling to the remnants of my sanity with my family in the house.

@Aro: freaking amazing.  That's all I can say.

For me this looks a bit too kitchy, I'll spam it anyway. The artist is some Amethyst on Zeviantart.

G'morn Holland. You must be a Dutch, then?

Yup, I'm Dutch.
And it is raining.. good thing because I won't get a migraine this way, but it is really sad for all the people who are standing with their old junk on a... Flea market(?).

At first I thought you were from India or so, for some reason.

We have this May Day/International Workers' Day/Labour Day. The whole country is a mess, people partying, besotted, stunned and intoxicated by the spring. For all luck, I'm able to steer clear of it. Amateurs.

Flea market, under the open sky, I assume.

*beams* I'm glad folks like it. I may not even have been burned out for years this time, although if I do more art anytime soon I need to not be quite so agressive with it. Everything doesn't have to have a laundry list of new things. Right? Right?

I have ideas for other pictures, but if I try to do another 20+ hour monster I will put an ink-pen through my eye. This is why I'll never do anything creative professionally, I don't know how the roommates can stand it. For IO I kind of want to do the cheek-touch scene from the Fade, maybe with the camera over Alley's shoulder like the game does for conversations so that I don't have to draw her face.

Although I do owe Alley a portrait, someday. =_= The good news on either idea is that faces aren't that difficult now. Time-consuming, but I don't spend half my time trying one thing, undoing it, trying another thing, undoing that, etc, like I did with Zevran's hair. Once I know how to shade something, I'm mostly good to go. It's the trial-and-error part that aggravates me after five hours on one segment. Replicating what I did to his hair would take me maybe an hour; it took me around five (or more) this first time.

But Alley's nose worries me to draw it up close, haha. And the scar tissue. I've never done scars on a portrait... and if I'm already coming up with firsts, maybe I should avoid her a while longer. ;)

And wow, we have quite the range of countries and languages and such in this thread, don't we? I guess Zevran is a universal language.

Tjänare, granne och klara Vappen då!

Nope, bonfires are common on Midsummer and to some extent on Easter and at All Hallow's Eve. The Maypoles (midsommarstång) in Midsummer are used in Åland Islands and west coast where there are Swedish speaking folks.

Aro, it feels kind of redundant at this point but that picture is awesome.

No dancing around an gigantic phallic symbol? I declare that midsummer sucks in Finland!

Yes, we do that here too.. well some people do. And this year it will be extra messy because the garbage collectors are... refusing to work because they think they don't earn enough money or something like that.

and yes, it is open sky, that's why I said it was a shame it was raining. :P

You had a question mark there, I just wanted to make sure we were talking 'bout the same thing :-)

D'oh, of course it was because of Bhagavadghita: Rama => ramante, meaning "fulfilling desires" btw. Silly me, for a split of second. And Herr, please refrain from overanalyzing.

Yeah, my bad.. didn't know if flea market was the right word. xD

I have 'Ramante' from the movie Tomb Raider: Cradle of life.
How do you think life began? Shooting star? Primordial ooze? In 2300 BC an Egyptian pharaoh found a place that he named The Cradle of Life where we, life, began. And there he found a box, the box which brought life
to earth. The pharaoh opened the box but all that was left inside was the "Ramante" or anti-life: The plague which came as the companion to life.

Edit: because format hates me.
