Heh. I was just watching Rocky Horror Picture Show and I was actually thinking of drawing Zev in one of these garter outfits that they all wear on the stage at the end. He would rock it!

I swear, sometimes I think I'm the ONLY person who sees Zevran as masculine.
Edit: Or at least one of a few. I just do NOT see him cross dressing!

I do see him as very masculine, but sometimes the mind does wonder what he'd look like in certain 'roles'...ejoslin wrote...

I do. I prefer Kaioku's vision of him,
actually. She hit it dead on for me. However, a masculine man can
still really work women's clothing if he does it right. I think given
the right circumstances Zevran would do this well.

You're against posting masculine Zevran pics to counter the cross-dressing ones?ejoslin wrote...

No. Just... no.

If you've seen Boy Meets World, in one episode, Rider Strong, who is not effeminate at all(at least as far as I'm concerned), spent 90% of one episode in 'drag'. He pulled it off very well.Nonvita wrote...

Nah, I totally think of him as masculine. But I see Tim Curry as masculine, too, and that doesn't stop him from being able to wear this:

Yes! Kaioku's version is flawless. I agree with whoever else on here said they don't like a lot of the Zev art because he looks too girly in it.

I love Tim Curry, I love the Rocky Horror Picture Show, I recognize that sexuality is fluid. I am not threatened by nor do I care what other people wear, what consenting adults they have sex with, etc etc etc.
Still... no. I do not see it! Not in a serious way.

Lol! Was I being serious? I didn't think I was... Is everyone else being serious?
(I don't think that Zevran would go out of his way to cross dress, but I just don't see it as threatening to masculinity or anything. If people want to draw it then draw it, and if others don't like it they don't have to look. But really, fan art exists because everyone sees characters differently. So we're all good in what we like.)

DA broke all the stereotypes and its just WRONG to try to make elves/dwarves/whoever fit a mold that doesn't exist in the game.
I don't see Zevran as being in the slightest bit effeminate. He is all guy! Angles, muscles, the strength to take on ogres and dragons and win. I even love his lines that show a care-worn face with a bit of maturity yet most of the fan art I've seen portray him as a smooth-skinned girly boy. The real Zev would never pass in a line up of Thai cross-dressers. And putting him in Franknfurter's corset? YUCK!
