 CZ.  Really, I like DAO for the story.  The combat is ok, but this one just kind of irks me for some reason.  You have all of DAO with him insisting he won't do it, can't do it, etc.  Well, turns out, he can.  The world was NOT depending on your warden after all.

If people rave about this DLC, I may buy it.  What it looks like to me though is something that is very heavy on combat, very light on story, and the only reason it will sell is because it has the name "Dragon Age" on it.  I'm hoping, really against hope, that they'll start putting out DLCs that are actually based on the characters.

This just doesn't interest me.  It does change an essential plot point.  But if it's really REALLY good, I'll consider getting it.  After all, I am good at being wrong about things.

Edit: *grin* I'm such a purist! :police:

Hooo boy.  Poor Blair. XD  (I'd offer to hug him but he might kill me... Image IPB )

He's not *that* violent!  He'd just suggest something unprintable you could do with your free time, and stomp off in a huff.  <_<

Yeahhh, I wasn't thinking "kill" literally. XD

Does this mean we get an update soon?  It sounds like something a bit farther in the future... Image IPB

thing is in game I dont get that feeling from him at all, infact the more I play the less and less I like him and he does nothing ingame that makes me think he could be a competant ruler =/

Oh, that I agree with.  *sigh* Ok, I'm not even sure WHY this DLC annoys me so much so I think I'll just be quiet about it!  But for my violent needs, I'm going back to FO3.  Oh, pinning corpses to the wall with my railway gun (I don't even remember what it was called).  And watching the eyeballs roll around!

See, I don't either.  I honestly don't see Alistair as the one who could have united Ferelden and lead your party to Denerim.  But, according to this DLC, he does.  That's why I say it breaks the lore.  At least, for me!

Edit; I'm doing a really REALLY bad job of shutting up about it, aren't I...

HAH you should see how sadistic I can be in various Zoo/theme park simulation games I own

like in my operation genesis game... I hatched a t-rex near my visators center... and my park has no fences to contain the dinosaurs... well you can kind of guess what happened then

or Roller coaster tycoon where i would build deathtrap coasters that sent the cars flying 1/2 way across the park :3

I am here too. And that just enhances the chances of dwarf porn. Though I'd just poke you and tell you to do it.

I want a cuddly sten :( SO BAD.
Also poking? Ooh baby. Mina step into my box office, let's discuss dwarf porn. Mind the Barrowhand, it's only napping.

@Mr.Uhl - only if you poke me with that Sten plushie :D

<3 *jumps into soignee's office* I have this idea... *shows particularly naughty sketches featuring dwarven ladies and antivan assassins* let me just finish it a bit ... I think you had some crayons around *pushes the Brrowhand aside and looks for crayons*

@ Aimo's Alicorn comic - OMG! I loled so hard, hehe you are brilliant :D

Is there an option for the darkspawn to win? If so, I could see this playing out if Alistair is in charge and not, say, off sulking somewhere because he didn't get to murder his father-in-law.

I can't even see him uniting ferelden. He refuses to even go to Orzammar by himself after your Dwarf tells him that they're exiled and would most likely cause huge problems if they tried to go back.  He says something to the effect that he can't go there by himself.  /shakes head.  Yeh, *grin* Let me know if the DLC is good.  My first instinct with it is, "gah."

Oh, a REALLY bad job of shutting up about it. Maybe there's still that small part of me that still likes smack talking Alistair...

I don't dislike Alistair but I do find him rather immature and self-centred. I think he might well improve with age.

I wonder, though, if he'd been on his own from the beginning, if that would act as as sort of hardening? He has the choice to let the warden lead, but what if he had to lead alone? Would he really just - not do it? Although he wants somebody else to make the decisions, he does have ideas. Maybe the other members of the party would be able to support him too.

I'm probably going to buy the DLC, so I'll have to imagine a way that would work out.

yeah, this. Sten would've stayed though, despite having awareness of his situations. Which makes me sad for the big guy.

Probably not .

But maybe he'd be different, if he'd been on his own.   If, for instance, he'd had to make the decision about Connor and take responsiblity for it.  I could see him gradually changing.

Oh, they also forgot to mention that in this alternate universe your party is not limited to 4 people for gameplay reasons, so Alistair had plenty of backup.

Doubt I'll buy it just because I don't need to keep spending money right now. Especially not after almost losing a couple hundred dollars yesterday. <_<
