Oh, they also forgot to mention that in this alternate universe your party is not limited to 4 people for gameplay reasons, so Alistair had plenty of backup.


Doubt I'll buy it just because I don't need to keep spending money right now. Especially not after almost losing a couple hundred dollars yesterday. <_<

Does this mean we get an update soon?  It sounds like something a bit farther in the future...

I should update. . .  That's the chapter I feel like is too short.  I meant to try to update yesterday but we ended up running off on a mad, unsuccessful azalea-hunting expedition.  If I don't do it today I hopefully will tomorrow. 

This is late, chapter 10.  It's a run-up to the roller coaster of 12-14, I hope.    Then I'm not quite sure what to do with the rest of it.  So far I think it ends at 18, but 15-18 are barely written.

My problem isn't playing as a Darkspawn, it's the whole Alister uniting Ferelden I just don't see it happening, he was a complete mess for most of the game, he wouldn't recuit Oghren, Sten, Zevran or Morrigan, so his team would be Laliana, Wynne, Dog and Shale.

I just don't see it.

I can very easily see Morrigan bullying Alistair around and he wouldent have much choice in the matter with her considering how even in the normal game she pretty much owns hims outside that commewnt about her having flemeths nose

He'd recruit Sten. For some reason Leliana, Morrigan, AND Alistair all want you to save him. Of course, Sten would probably find him incompetent, challenge him for party leadership a la Haven, and Alistair would eagerly accept.

Morrigan might have to step up and run things. I can imagine her in the Tower--"We should just eradicate them, Alistair. The Tower has been completely overrun, and any one of them might be abominations." G'bye, Wynne!



Actually kind of an interesting idea what might happen without the PC Warden.

Yep, and Morrigan would want to free Sten, and Sten and Leliana let Zevran tag along, etc etc.

Sten doesn't say anything in that encounter if you have him in the party, but doesn't he say after recruiting Loghain that he approves of making use of defeated foes, or something to that effect?

Anyway, the group somehow forming and getting there with Alistair "leading" (ie, being the Grey Warden with the treaties in hand, but still probably not calling the shots) isn't brain-breaking for me. Beyond that, it's an AU, and obviously things go to sh*t when the darkspawn finally come a-knocking on something other than Lothering.

And... I kind of want to go charging through a crowd of redshirts as an Ogre.

Hopefully they'll do something story-based next, but the hack and slash (and splat) isn't so bad in the meantime.
