Have you ever put off knocking Zev out during his ambush until last? It's kind of hilarious to have him chasing you around trying to stab you in the face while you maul his allies. All the same battle-quotes from him, but with face stabbing.

I guess I'm kind of torn on my general feelings on this DLC. If it's the last we get of the Origins companions, it sucks. If it's just something quick they threw together for a few bucks, preferrably while working on character-driven stuff that was the game's original appeal... okay. Mindless rampage can be fun!

Meh.

*chuckle* I'm gonna hold off on judging the DLC too harshly till I hear reviews for it...

edit: apparently the word for a particular WWII German political party which that guy seems to identify with is a banned word on the forum. ah well.

I think we all need to make the most of this thread now. When the DLC comes out I don't think I'll want to visit here. I'm not interested in seeing screenies of Zev losing his awesomeness by being destroyed by darkspawn. Or any of the other companions or NPC's either for that matter. It was bad enough watching Zev in The Fade! Zev-haters, Ali-haters and others are about to be given a nasty weapon thanks to this DLC.

Sorry, catchin up: I agree sort of! I was hoping for a rejoining of the compaions and a romance pack..with the uproar for it you'd think BIO would listen *hrmpft* Hell, I paid 40 bucks for Awakenings..I played it only once. Unfortunatly I came to the game late so I bought Origins a few days before Awakenings came out, I was silly to think that it would be the same..My heart broke when I woke up on the street fighting Darkspawn without my Zev. I cant even leave camp without Zev in the group, let alone play some Darkspawn mutant that goes in search to kill him..

As for the Zev Haters:  I think if they decide to try to stab our hearts with Zev killing shots we can just counter with Zev love shots!

On a side note, for gatekisses.. what options do you need to take to see it in action? Do you need to leave him, or can you take him and still get it, then what dialogue choises. I've tried a few combinations to see it and didnt, wondering if my gatekisses isnt working or if Im just doing it wrong..(which is probably the top possability)

should work whether he's in your party or not. as long as you're in love. i plan to switch it to EJ's ZDF party_events tomorrow and do some more kiss touch-ups then.

Thanks Charsen, what am I looking for in the dialogue, I mean is it an 'obvious' thing I am not seeing? Or do you have to do a few options when get the ability to kiss him. No matter what way I choose I am not seeing a kissypoo option. *laugh*

should work if he is in your party, he will say: 
So we head into the city to face the archdemon together, do we? Just as it should be.
then if he is in love, he should say:
If this should be the last we speak, I want you to know... assassinating you was the luckiest thing that could have happened to me.
any of those options should lead to a kiss.

EJ was saying that for some reason it's not triggering if he's in love (though i don't understand why since it works for me in the test runs =/ )
if he isn't in love, he will say:
Allow me to say that it has been a pleasure, my friend. Assassinating you was the luckiest thing that could have happened to me.
this does not lead to a kiss.

if he is not in your party, if the romance is active, he will say:
In truth, for the chance to be by your side I would storm the Dark City itself. Never doubt it.
the options will end with "Cruel to the end" which leads to a kiss.

also make sure you don't have another mod with party_events active, or mine might not overwrite it.
