I'm not much of an artist (& it takes me forever to draw anything I am even remotely happy with) but here's my contribution to this thread. I hope it doesn't make the real artists groan!


It started out with me trying to draw Zev as he may look if he stuck around to offer his services to the King of Ferelden. It ended up looking more like pirate Zevran reporting for duty! Oh well... 

I seriously love this picture!   Pirate Zevran, indeed.  It made me think of the Pirates of Penzance   I wish he had worn something like this in the last Origins scene.   How did you do the picture?  I'm so impressed by the art here, and really nosy about how it's done. 

I draw with pencil on paper until I am somewhat happy that I have something I can work with, then I scan the drawing, open in Photoshop, and color, tweak, play until I figure I've gone as far as I can go with it. I'm not as skilled with Photoshop as I'd like to be.

That's a stylish pic in any respect. Aren't Illustrator or Corel better than PS for drawing anyway?

*shrug to the digital art program question* Sometimes it's a question of what you have, or what you're used to. Personally, I hated Corel the one time I played with it. But I'm more of a pens, markers and watercolor person myself so...

Happened to *someone* once when she was dating a bi guy. He was also dating a gay guy (who was really seriously hawt). The gay lover had two relationships going and this other partner was a close friend to the other three. (Getting confused yet? LOL) The four ended up sleeping over after a party when one of the guys said something along the lines of **** this, why not? So, yeah, the *someone* ended up in the middle of three guys and some pretty hawt m/f, m/m action. They were all close friends for years but never repeated the activities. Sad really.

See, all I can think of is this one shunga with a train going... I can't recall the artist's name and I'm too lazy to find it without my reference book.

Edit: Don't go looking for Shunga expecting not to see pictures of real women trying to imitate the poses.  Some things cannot be unseen.

I may have to hand in my Zevthread card. It took me WAY too long to
figure out what you guys were talking about.  I seem to have traded emo
for clueless.

Edit: to remove the wacky quote things.  I cannot speak for Upi.  As dopey as I am right now, that would be REALLY bad.

I've got to do an Alistair sacrifice sometime so will take him then. Couldn't have the poor boy going off to his death without experiencing that!
