Nonvita, you might just love the sauna. People running naked into the lake or snow from the sauna. Usually the sauna is just for personal hygiene, women and men can be there at the same time. That's one reason, most of us do not get that excited upon seeing naked people. Public saunas, like those in swimming pool buildings do have separate depts for men or women.

I really want to do one of those at one point.

Sounds good to me. People there are pale, right? Cause if so then I'd fit right in.

I've been in a public bath in Japan before (female only though), and it was nice to laugh at the utter lack of an ass on Japanese women. Why Americans are sooo uptight about nudity is such a mystery.

Wow this post makes no sense. >.>

Americans are so uptight about nudity and sex because of the AIDS panic of the '80s. It's also a cultural cycle. There will be decades of sexual freedom, then decades of sexual repression.

I have a small electric sauna right here in my home. Shall I turn it on? Then we could run neeked like crazy into the lake nearby, just a couple of kilometres from here....

Seriously, do it in the midsummer somewhere at a summer cottage with people you know and whom you trust.

No, people were just as uptight about nudity and sex back in the 80s as well.  There were certain segments of people who weren't, but for the most part, it was worse back then than it is today.

Drinking beer and sauna-bathing. It is awesomely relaxing.

Yeah, I think Americans have always been more uptight about nudity. Even in the '60s, although there was a substantial population that believed in free love, etc, it was always counter-culture rather than mainstream society. American society is very much anti-nudity, amongst other things.

*grin* The 80s...  It's how I spent my teen years.  Definitely not a very interesting decade.  Ronald Regan lead the country in a whole new direction (sigh).

*chuckles* The most I remember of the '80s is watching Transformers and GIJoe with my brother.

I wasn't born in the 80's but the TV shows and movies from back then have convinced me that everyone had horrible hair that decade.

There's no way you had trippier cartoons then the sixties and seventies. Everyone was on drugs those decades! My little brother went through a phase where he'd watch the old reruns on Boomerang nonstop...everyone involved with those shows were on drugs. The writers, the producers, the characters...

LOL! The '80s did have good cartoons, which my generation thankfully got to see some of thanks to reruns. Kids' shows now are utter crap, and it's not just being older and wiser that's saying that, it's the truth.

And I only lived through a year in the '80s, but it was enough to see the fall of the Berlin wall and live through the big San Francisco earthquake. Eventful times, those.

Dallas, Dynasty, Miami Vice, Hill Street Blues...
I thought the 70's were the worst in that regard. American Gangster, A Ridley Scott film has a pretty accurate epoch, the 60's and 70's imo. Those Soul bands occurred to me.
