Yeah, my kids watch Blues Clues and Power Rangers.

Bought my kids a copy ot the original Sesame Street episodes and realized I had watched them when they came out.

Oops page topper, goes to find pic.

Help! I'm computer impaired - just realized I've only ever figured out how to put a pic in by using a quote.  Need advice or this page will have no pic a the top.

Hells yeah Animaniacs! Freaking loved that show.

Edit: Didn't watch Ren and Stimpy as a kid much, but it's grown on me as I get older. <3 Can't believe how much Nickelodeon, MTV, etc have changed since we were kids.

did stop watching them a few years back. They just happened to come out when I was very, very young. God, back before I could tell time on analog clocks I used to know it was time for the bus to kindergarten after Blue Clues was over. Needless to say, the day they had an all-day Marathon I was so confused and kept annoying my mom by trying to leave every half an hour for four hours or so...

Sorry, didn't mean to offend.  I figured anyone here would be long past that stage.  It's just that those shows are still around.  Of the shows I watched I think only Sesame Street and the Bugs Bunny cartoons still exist.  Anyone remember Mr. Rogers Neighborhood?

Hell yeah!

I'm actually surprised none of my fellow 80's-spawn have mentioned Voltron. :o

...And Animaniacs has been mentioned, and X-Men:TAS, but not Gargoyles. :o  Or was that so much later?  I'm old, it all runs together. :P

AND ALSO!  Because I have to ask every time this topic comes up: does anyone remember Spartacus and the Sun Beneath the Sea?

I grew up on Mr. Rogers and Sesame Street--the originals before they decided that Burt and Ernie weren't PC enough and Snuffy was still unknown to anyone but Big Bird. Before Elmo. My son watched the very first season of Blues Clues. We still have his Thinking Chair in the spare room. :P I discovered books at age 3 and lost all touch with pop culture until I met my husband.

Awwww Mr. Rogers! Totally there with ya.
Edit: And I've seen that clip before and just laughed, then facepalmed, then shook my head as with everything Fox News.

Out of curiosity, am I the only one here (American, at least) who never liked Sesame Street? I think I found it boring or something, which is strange because it's one of the shows that's supposed to contribute to short attention spans, or so I've heard. =P

Mr Rogers always scared me. I mean, seriously scared me. Till my dad started reciting Fireside Theater's Mr Rogers... "Let me get on my motorcycle.... Woops, there goes my loafer..."

About the time my son was born some right-wingy-dingy nutjobs decided that they must be gay and Burt disappeared for a while.  This was shortly after these same people declared the abomination known as the Teletubbies to be a gay plot.

We didn't have cartoons except 6-7 PM weekdays and saturday/sunday mornings.

My jealousy knows no bounds.

I was so starved on cartoons that I watched this intro to get me my animation fix. After that there were public service announcements. *friggin mother going to school and not affording cable*

Wait, Burt and Ernie weren't PC enough? When did that happen?  Had similar experience with books and loss of pop culture, except my hubby isn't really interested in it either.

I remember liking Mr. Rogers, that and Sesame Street were pretty much the only kids shows I watched.  My parents let me watch MASH and Star Trek with them though. Image IPB
