If you skip killing the generals, they simply show up during the final battle with the Archdemon, thus making that battle a little harder. It happened my first time through on my CE because I ran off to the Alienage before the market, and if you do the Alienage first the Market District general disappears before you get there.

Don't think I'll be getting the DLC just because it's a waste of money at this point. Haven't even played the game itself in over a month, so that suggests there are higher priorities than the DLC. =P


@Senor--there you are! Nice to see you again! Won't be around for most of Friday (graduation), but looking forward to seeing your contributions.

@Mina--love the banner as always! Awesome!

@Soignee--Seriously LOVE it! The cards are beautiful, and agreed that the fan is pretty distracting at this point. But her expression is just dazzling. <3

I didn't say it made sense.  There just seems to be a consensus that he wouldn't stay unless he had someone to stay for (because he doesn't in the actual game).  The (il)logical choice for this frass-storm?  The other rogue.

She is the one he gets along with the best, so yeah. Can't really see anyone else that would try to befriend him.

When I did that I just wandered around the Marketplace killing darkspawn and eventually the general showed up after all.

Really? Huh, I killed the darkspawn there too but it never showed up. Well, I guess you can kill them no matter what after all!

The quest does suggest coming back later so you could just go to the Alienage again and back.

The true reason I dislike the whole Zev/Lels thing is that their surface personalities don't work together.  Those fronts they present?  I don't think they would get much past, "Giggly in-love-with-life super religious type!" on Leliana's part, and "wield my sensuality like a shield" on Zevran's part, at least, not without some third party to wear them down.  Religion is a major part of Leliana's life now, and while Zevran admits some religious leanings in a very loose sense, he actively goes about trying to poke holes in her facade in front of others.  I think that would ****** her off more than endear her without the Warden around.  So, it might devolve into angry sex and then they find out afterward they've got way too much in common.  But I don't really see it getting to that point by the time Taliesen shows up.

As I'm back my factory default settings instead of girl mode at the moment, I really can't speak for "ladies who don't like ladies".  I can say that: well done sex is hot regardless of the genders/sexes involved.  So if I saw really good pr0ns of it?  Yeah, that would be cool.  I probably wouldn't ****** to it, but I would appreciate it.

Edit: Re-reading this, it sounds a little harsh to me.  I'm not trying to be harsh.  I lurves me some Soignee and her sexy dwarf lady.  But Zev/Lel really doesn't make any sense to me, except in effed up AU land where Alistair somehow got out of the Fade (or avoided it altogether).

I can totally see Zev and Lel being BFFs in the AU, assuming that Alistair didn't lop his head off in their first meeting. Lovers, though.....I don't know, it's definitely possible. I honestly don't think such a relationship would be as earth-shattering for them as the ones with the Warden, though. You know, the Warden being The Special Person Whose Existence Determines The Fate Of The World As We Know It and all that.



Personally, I'm not quite sure what to think of Lel. Her concept is great-----a murder-loving ex-spy who wears her mask so awesomely that you would never suspect her of anything but puppies and rainbows? Count me in. The actual execution, though....I love her character design, but her conversations...not so much?

Agree with you here. They're similar yes, but to a point.

If they did confront Majoralaine (sp?) she would probably be hardened without the warden. Hardened Leli and Zev would get on swell I think.



But I like to think that he got a crush on Walter (whom I wrote into the story as a replacement for the warden in order to get all to stay and have it make sense. Sten following Alastair? Naaah.).

I agree there, if you hardener her she brags about her ability to manipulate people, when she was doing it, being awesome at it, and loving it...to get what she wanted and to basically get the job done. She also makes a reference to the warden at some point about Zevran if your in a relation with him. It seems to be shed bang him in a heartbeat...But then again he is Zev, give them a few days wooing Alistair I bet he could get him in bed too...

As for Alistair he seems kind of incompitent without the Warden being there unless you harden him..If Zev got the contract to kill them, I think he would of actually succeded personally. Alistair is to flighty and to busy mouring Duncan, also being scared about the Darkspawn. He is gullable..ect.

and, assuming Zevran still did fail..would Alistair even bring him along? He sure didnt want to take Zevran after the failed assassination attempt., and I dont see why that would be called off.

I could see him being forced into taking Morrigan, Flemmith can bully that..and he is a wuss, I can definatly see him taking Leliana, and no reason why he wouldnt lug around Oghren. But Zev? Not unless they find a reason why there was no Crow Contract.

Thats my opinion anyways.

Leliana leaves the decision about hardening her to you. If left to her own devices, how do you know she'd choose that?

The choices are: one with similar work, the doofus, grandma, a dog, Schmooples, a giant that dislikes her, a witch, a drunkard who'd try to hit on her or attack her because she reminds him of Hespith (she was a poet right?) or an homicidal golem.

I will read slash, I can nod my head approvingly at well written characters and applaud fine use of prose and narrative developing. But the sexytiems bits is sort of like reading Ikea furniture instructions to me, and I will scroll past it if it's smut for smut's sake.

I have issues with some parts of slash fandom though, not going to lie. The writers that go, "eew girls have cooties" or "I don't like female characters period" or "all female characters are Mary Sues!" Those ones? Yeah, then can go back to lady school, where I will do the "you've not only let me down, but yourself down. Please stop hating your own gender, ladies" speech, while shaking my head sorrowfully.

Edit: Also, I do not want to cannot imagine Leliana and Zevran hooking up.

Edit again: If I were to think of likely pairings among the companions, it would be Alistair/Leliana, Zevran/Morrigan or Zevran/Alistair. If we're going into the creepier side, maybe Oghren/Wynne or Loghain/Leliana? I just can't picture Sten having sex with anyone.
