Aro, that's an epic sample RP

Hee! Very good to hear, I'm so nervous about it. XD

I'm not quite sure if he's already sleeping with some random nameless NPC townsperson and the thing got turned on (haha) while lost under some bedding, or if he's decided the only proper response to drywall and cars is to drink himself into a stupor, or both or what. Figured I'd decide that depending on what responses it got on the game. XD

The game requires a character give up something precious in order to regain a body, so in order to avoid having to app him from early-game or invent a Warden that any other potential Dragon Age players might not agree with, I chose to have him give up memories of the Warden. I figure whoever it was possibly did the Sacrifice, or something, and he's emo about it when he makes the bargain.

So his memory is kind of... punctured, lol. Game events are probably pretty muddled, but it still gives me more to work with than taking him from, say, his ambush.

And waaaangst.  I've never been into multiverse RPs, but that sounds like some pretty awesome set up right there.  If you find this place suitable I might be interested in something.  I don't do online RP much any more--the pacing tends to be all feckerdoodled for my liking.

This would only be my second mutliverse, but I really do like them when they're done well. I have characters I love who are in tiny obscure fandoms (Ramirez from Skies of Arcadia), and others whose canon I mostly can't stand (Astronema from Power Rangers in Space), and some whose fandoms I can barely tolerate (Raistlin from Dragonlance, my readers are awesome but the rest scare me). So if I want to play them, a multiverse is the best option for me.

If we're both in a game we can scene whenever~ I'll even put my hair in pigtails at least once. :P

*snicker* Knowing Zev, he's already in bed with some random NPC. Being drunk probably won't help matters.

Oh ick. That's just.... ew. Giving up something to gain a body there? Not to my liking.

It wasn't to my liking either until I realized it would be my one way around the "Warden" issue that let me keep most of the game in his brain. Folks give up items, or memories, or sight, or use of one limb, etc. One guy gave up the ability to fall asleep. It has potential for good RP sparking. If dumping the Warden memories wasn't the thing to make Zevran from late-game/end-game playable without inventing an OC, I'd come up with something much more interesting.

Edit: Pagetopper!

That's actually a really moving thing to give up, though, and it would be very clear that he's missing something. Even more so if they were in a romance.

I don't really have any fandoms I'm hip-deep in except this one, so... probably not going to end up terribly interested. Though Locke Lamora and Zevran would have awful roguey misadventures together, liek whoa. I gravitate towards certain types of characters in RP, though, and there are very few of them around... I lose interest in others too quickly.

Oh, online roleplay it was!

I've never done that, though I roleplayed for 2 years in persistent NWN world (that's where I got my BF). I love to make up stories about OCs, that were really good times. But I sort of need to something solid to base it in ... like the game environment, or something like that.

Lol, and puppies and HAMSTER! I must have a thing for rodents. I would link my dwarf rabbit photo, but I failed to photograph her.

Oh yes, I definitely intend to work off his memory gap. I'm also going to ask the mods have the disembodied voice ask for that price, as he won't suggest it, and I'll have him lurk in limbo for a good while before he finally agrees. I'm definitely working off the assumption that whoever the Warden was and whether it was a romance or not, they fed themselves to the Archdemon.

It will be a very bitter agreement. Assuming I even get into this game.

I have no idea who that character is, but I have no idea who most of the characters in these games are. :D I've been introduced to several fandoms via roleplay this way. I didn't know Saiyuki until I roleplayed with Sanzo a bunch and eventually ended up looking his series up.

It's good advertisement that way. :D

There are a lot of games for specific (large) fandoms that are OC-only or OC-friendly, set in the canon setting. The first version of Alley who went by that name was in one such game, as was the first iteration of her half-brother Tannusen, and another fairly popular OC of mine named Megan Jones.

But most of my fandoms have... issues. Too small, too obscure, too insane... and I admit I like mixing folks up in crazy ways. Zev won't be the first medieval-setting character I've tossed into oncoming traffic. Futuristic characters like Astronema or Priss Asagiri are almost as much fun, surrounded by outdated crap, haha.

And then you run into someone, and... boo! They're an alien, or a mage, or a scientist, or a priest...

The Lies of Locke Lamora

Locke is a famous thief and leader of a gang of con artists in a city that's more or less a fantasy version of Venice.  He's got the most amazing silver tongue in the history of fictional characters (and if you challenge me on that claim we'll come to fisticuffs), and a talent for survival, and not much else aside from his best bud Jean, who is equal parts meat and brains.  Locke is an ordained priest and takes it very seriously, was once thrown off a waterfall in a barrel of horse ******, and his greatest talent aside from his silver tongue is getting himself beaten to an unrecognizeable pulp.  In summary: he's awesome.

Edit: I promise you guys I know which words are the right ones.  I just have to coax my sleepy fingers to type them.

He sounds very very awesome. XD

We'll see if I even get in, I guess. Though I'd possibly be a bit nervous RPing Zev around folks who know him well anyway... part of why I'm going to go ahead and RP him is to solidify my hold on him. My Raistlin Majere? I would pit up against other fans. Astronema? I've done so before. Zevran... while he is a lot like Tannusen on the surface, I've known the character for only a few months, so I'd be a nervous wreck. :/

Not that I won't encourage folks to join if I find an awesome game. I just might do so while hiding under a large rock. :P

Corker over on the dwarf threads did this AWESOME Baby Got Back "cover", Antivan style. One thing let to another and....

"I have a poem for you, my dear." Missa fixes Zevran with a look and goes on looking at the skyline of the
Antivan city, scowling slightly.

"Oh really. a poem. This should be good. Because last time you read a poem to me it went down well, right?"

Zevran chuckled slightly. "As I recall, it got you into bed."

"Many things will get me into bed, Zev. Don't flatter yourself."

Her lover draped an arm around her shoulder and leered. "Such fine words you say to me..."

She looked up at him with a quirked eyebrow and sighed. "Go on then," she said, trying not to smile.

He cleared his throat once into his hands, a serious look on his face:

"An Ode in Appreciation of the Dwarven Form

Ser Micchalotta di Antiva

Prologue: Antivan Single Ladies

Maker'sbreath.
Rebecca, observe her bottom.
It is so big.
She looks
like a dwarven noble's mistress.
I cannot account for dwarvish tastes.

They only speak to her because she looks like a noble hunter (as they term it).
Her bottom, it is just so big

At this, he got punched in the arm. Having been around Missa long enough he knew how to sidestep out of the hit when it came, but wasn't quick enough for the other hand clipping him around the ear. "My bum is not big!"

I cannot believe it is so round, it protrudes
It is utterly unseemly.
She is such a dwarf.

Missa scowled and Zevran backed away with a grin on his face, but still continued. "Start running," and she chased him along the rooftop of their palazzo, ducking from the semi-playful hits when they came. They would hurt if they landed, however.

The Ode
I like dwarf girls and I can not lie
You gentlemen cannot deny

And when a lass walks in with a tiny slender waist
Her round hips shaking with such fine grace
You take notice
Oh fair ones,
When it comes to ladies
I abjure the common fashion
36-24-36
Only
if she's 4'10..
."

Missa processed the words with a look of disbelief on her face, trying to fight his hold on her hands. When he
released her she punched him on the arm again for good measure, to which he only reacted to by laughing evilly.

"What in stone was that? That's even worse about the one about the barrel and the fish wife. Where did you learn it?"

"A rather fine gentleman in the tavern earlier. The one that propositioned you, if you recall." Of course she
could; she threatened to remove his balls through his nose for slapping her arse, which Zevran smoothly dismissed as 'cultural misunderstanding' before a fight broke out.

She put her face to her palm. "Seriously, you're bad. Bad."

"And when were we ever good? How dull."

WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN

(Yeah so what I wrote this strung out on caffiene and sugar. Whaaaaaaat of it?)

Who'd have thought Antivans prefer dwarves?

I don't see why people think their hips and butts are big, though. The dwarves are just strangely proportioned, but not big, I don't think. Their bodies are too short, so they are short-waisted and their limbs are out of proportion.

I wish they were bigger, but in better proportion. I'd like to see dwarves that looked like short, curvy, stocky women.

I like the dwarf spamming:).

I imagine the long arms do come in handy, but I hate the look.  I managed to persuade myself that my dwarf was just a short, curvy woman until I got to the gauntlet and saw this (before I used mods):

She just looks wrong, as if she's looking in one of those fairground mirrors.  It just doesn't look natural.

It's not really an answer, is it?  There are two parts quoted, one referring to 'objectionable' content, and one referring to intellectual property rights.   It doesn't say which one applied in this case, which is what the thread was about.
