Since it's BGII engine, I expect something along those lines, though without AD&D. I've played BGII&ToB in Januray and it was most pleasant experience, imo combat is way more better in BGII than DA. But it could be the AD&D, dunno.Cuddlezarro wrote...

My gaming plan after I finish something really important: finish current DA:O playthrough, ME1, ME2, DA:O playthrough with male Warden, maybe DA:A with that guy. You have intrigued me by this Planscape talk, I've never played it but I love the engine (and I think it's still too awesome), so maybe it will fit somewhere in the plan too.
dont expect the combat to be any good its horrible
thankfuly the games like 90% dialogue

PS:T went all buggy on me, so forget what I said about it working fine on Windows 7. This is a different installation, different disc, different OS than I've used before. This time I've also used some mods, and I don't know if that's what's causing the problems.
So I ended buying the Darkspawn Chronicles. Don't hate me. I knew I'd end up buying it anyway, and I'd rather do it before I end up reading spoilers. I've only played a little because I'm trying to make it last, but so far it's rather fun. I like hearing the archdemon and being a baddie. I like killing civilians. I like being a shreik or an ogre. I won't spoil anything but a couple of the people I've killed so far, I didn't like much anyway. I'm finding it funny, rather than sad.

Killing Wynne was the best part (Shrieks rule!), killing Zevran was terrible, but he took down my Ogre so it was only fair that I killed him. o.ó

CZ, seriously I can't believe someone reported *that* of all pics. *offers hug and readies murder knife in case we go to war* Don't understand it at all.
Meh, too much stuff happened to respond to. So instead here is a stupid quick drawing that I did while bored/frustrated.
Yeah, I am so awesome at teh fan artz. Yay.

I loved how his 'battle screams' were the same.
He takes down my Ogre and I hear: "Time for a little bloodletting, I see!"

if your playing a mage sure
but playing a melee character in BG1/2 Was beyond boring all you bloody well could do was auto attack with some exceptions =/
and it is AD&D but the combats still trash

It is the interface that is much worse.
And people played only their PC in BG, weird.

mages where the only thing fun about BG2
and that became dull once you learned how easy it is to cheese everything
Melee characters and rogues in DA>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Melee characters and rogues in BG2 in terms of fun since they can do stuff beyond auto attack

Err, hard question. I like them equally.
But I think that it's easier to learn playing BG2 if you're not used to the system.

Also, if you have the Throne of Bhaal expansion, I would suggest getting Ascension. It is an unofficial mod made by David Gaider that adds more possible endings. http://weidu.org/asc.html

I should have played an Adept first. Oh well, I'll get her through to ME2 in no time, since now I know to use the "Set Destination" option when landing on planets.
Zaeed is...actually kind of cool.
OK back to ME to run my Adept threw..I am killing Kaiden this time, I KNOW I started the romance with him><.

BG2 is *alot* more combat focused with a ton of dungeon crawling it also has the most annoying character to ever spawn from a video game... Aerie, Anomen is a prat as well
PS:T is alot more character and story focused 90% of the game is literally reading through dialogue and most of the experience you gain is from conversations not combat
edit:oh and the story isnt stereotypical save the world crap we see in most games nowadays

...You can do that? Wow. Four playthroughs and I never found that feature.
Although when it comes to climbing cliffs, I've found that driving diagonally works a lot better than driving straight up. Zig-zag if you have to. It takes a lot of the frustration out of using the Mako.
