Okay, I survived. I did get rained on a bit, though. Stupid weather...

How is life on the outside? I've only heard stories of old.

Very wet.

I hope it's storming when I leave.  I'll dance in it.  Then get trashed.  Then dance in it some more.  And probably write.

12.5 hours, paused for now to dodge burn-out, but I did go ahead and draw in the braid and his thumb since that was bothering me. XD

That's amazing.

I figured since I'm writing traumatized Zev in IO right now, and drew him all angryface for the challenge, I'd draw him all lolface "I'm trolling you!" at least the once before I burn out on art again. Too much serious!business!Zev in my brains right now, not enough cowbell.

I beat you. Haven't gotten my hair cut in..... four years, I think. Maybe five. I don't think me hacking off the splint ends with fabric scissors count, really.

(I have very long hair, for the record.)

I don't. It is starting to get in my eyes again. *shakes fist at hair*

Well, I usually do it twice a year or something like that, so it isn't that unusual.

Nice. I used to do that, when I was little. Mom used to trim my hair outside, letting the birdies take the cut-offs. It used to be to my arse, till my grandmother, in her infinite wisdom, got me a perm for my 12th or 14th birthday. I didn't want to upset her by turning it down. I wish I had. They lopped off my hair to just below my shoulder, then I looked like I stuck my finger in a socket for a year while the perm faded and grew out. >.>

*snickers* I've never had a haircut in my entire life, though I've been known to go after the split ends with a pair of scissors on an individual bases, a few chunks at a time.

Edit: It's very thin, though. My ponytail isn't much thicker than my thumb-joint. Hooray for damaged scalps.

I am tempted by short hair, I really am. Always been long, though. Would wonder if I miss it, if it goes. i do look after it though, I'm a good girl. Long hair is fairly easy to maintain if you find the right products.

Uh, being girly in zev thread. Shall I talk about my mineral makeup obsession now? (*swirltapbuff* for those that know...)

My brother got his cut after having long hair for over ten years (I told him he looked like the lead singer of Green Day and he almost slugged me), and he turned into a dweeb.  Don't do it.

My hair was almost to my waist when I got it cut for the first time in over 3 years, this past winter. I did it while my husband was away so it had several months to grow back if I hated it, but I ended up liking it very much. I was at the point all I could do with it long was a ponytail. Now I can wash/mousse/blowdry into a nice tousled look and call it good!

see I have a fairly round face and I'm not sure it suits short hair. *ponders* I know it can always grow back, but it's still fairly traumatic.

I just get my hair cut whenever it gets long enough to annoy me, which varies.

Yeah, my face is round as well, so I can't really get my hair too short, or it looks...odd.

Layers and a fringe actually suit me, I used to have a btichin' fringe when I was in my electro gay club scene mode like 5 years ago, but too much effort and since I have thin hair I have to wash every other day. A fringe meant it was a b*itch due to it getting greasy far too quickly :(

LET'S TALK ABOUT MAKE UP NOW. I am scared of make up counter ladies, true story. I often get bullied into buying stuff I don't need, I've no idea why.

Yah, thin hair is a b*tch...

*snicker* Oh, I rarely wear make-up, even the Bare Minerals. My skin is really really fair, and pretty sensitive...

I don't wear make-up because it's too much of a pain.

Ack, makeup.  I guess I'm not very good at being "girly."  I had to have a friend do my makeup for my wedding (almost 11 years ago).  I think I own some blush - somewhere.  I tend to be allergic to a lot of things so I don't wear makeup or use hairspray, mousse, ect.

Hair is long - I cut my bangs myself and go in to have the split ends cut off once a year.  I did have it cut short after I had my second child, but it was too much of a pain to have it cut every 8 weeks to keep it looking nice, so I grew it back out.  It's thick and naturally curly but it tends to frizz, so mostly I keep it braided.

I did this, more or less, almost 3 years ago now.  I feel like I have more options (or at least, more simple options) with my hair shorter than when it was down to the middle of my back.  I also discovered when I cut it that my hair was wavy. lol.

Maybe cancel out the trauma by donating the cut hair somewhere?   But yeah, I went in with the "can always grow it back" philosophy...

I think those makeup counter ladies have training in intimidation tactics... :?

I wear make up daily, pretty much. I love it. *hugs her bareminerals, lancome and benefit*

I collect lulzy lipgloss/lipbalm containers in the shap of ice cream cones, pandas, miss kitty, cupcakes, etc... If only for the lulz.

I tried short hair as a child. It pissed me off. Now I have a mane. The rest of this discussion... I know stage makeup, and that's about it. So you gals, ah, have fun with that.
