Well, on the manties things, it DOES have a different meaning than panties -- they're using it to mean lacy panties with extra fabric in front. Panties IS the term used in the US. Knickers are pants that button below the knees here, normally worn with knee socks.

I agree about the media.  The media has a lot to answer for in its portrayal of mainstream sexuality, never mind anything else.

I have thought, it belongs to the stage where people are unsure of their identity and take role models from the media and feel inadequate if they don't copy the role models one-to-one. I grew up in an environment where it was impolite to be overly interested in fellow man's bedtime pastimes. I always take those folks who are like that with a grain of salt (no pun intended).

I used to have knickers when I played football on gravel. Saved you a lot of scraping. And they're called knickers in Swedish too.

What do they wear in DA? Are we meant to believe they wear those things (I won't hazard a try at a name, because I'm sure I'll pick the wrong one!) they wear when nude, or are they just for modesty? Whatever they wear, it seems to be called small clothing in fan fiction.

Morrigan calls them unmentionables. I don't remember anyone else talking about them.

@ Soignee Yes, and it's weird that she obviously gets her bras from the same place as all the other women, no matter what race. And they are all in a modern, strapless balconette style. Just what you need under armour. A strapless bra.

My male elf, the one I took through Awakening, got a horrible epilogue card, saying that Zevran elected to stay at the side of his love - for a time.  I can't remember which option I chose, as I was planning on going to Antiva.  I felt forced to play my elf through Awakening just so that he could get Zevran back! 

@ Sarah, yes, those 'for a time' epilogues work well with Awakening, and I bet they were set up like that in anticipation of the expansion.  But before Awakening came out, they weren't too good.

Yeh, for all the epilogues, there's two for a time, and one forever. With Zevran, if you rejoin the grey wardens, he stays with the warden and helps train and recruit though he never officially joins. If you travel, you continue your adventures for a time. If you stay in Denerim, he elects to stay with the one he loves for a time.

So I must have gone for Denerim with that character, then. It looks like it's definitely the worst option if you're not going to play Awakening (but fine if you are), whereas the Grey Wardens is the best (but not so good if you're going to play Awakening, maybe).

I was expecting the for a time, I know returning to the Wardens avoids that particular phrase vwith him. But, I also know the Zev end slide in Awakening, so the for a time does make more sense if you're importing. Which I am, because I'm a bit obsessive, and have vthis insane urge to make sure every character has an end game save from both games "just in case" we get to import from either one in the future.

And while I'm thinking of it..do they ever say exactly what Zev's tattoo means?

Thanks! My first character to romance Zev was my CEF. I was sooooooo ticked off at the awakening slide I almost screamed out loud. To this day I do not know if him and I had a big fight in Antiva, or if it was him and I vs the crows that we may or may not have taken over.
