Oooh, what's that dialogue?

He gets almost ticked off in the dialog where Alistair asks him if he plans on returning to the crows, and asks Alistair why he thinks he intends on going anywhere afterwards.

He also gets pretty angry with Alistair in another dialog and tells him he needs to start asking for forgiveness himself -- that actually is one of my favorite dialogs though.  Alistair doesn't strike a nerve there, but I think Zevran makes a really good point.

Utterly irrelevant to pretty much anything, but I thought I'd share. ;)  Reading this made me think of that conversation, which in turn made me think of Zevran going to an Earth-style confessional... which then made me think of other assassins trying to take him out while he was in confessional. o_O   He does say Antivans are pious... wonder if that's been done before. heres something funny...I find it amusing that Oghren the "dwarf that kills little boys for giving him dirty looks" is more supporting of my relationship with Zevran than Wynn...even if it does gross him out

* Oghren: So... you and the Boss...?
* Zevran: If by "Boss" you mean who I think you do, then yes.
* Oghren: Yeah...Well.... Good luck with that.
* Zevran: Why, thank you ever so much.
* Oghren: Just.. You know...Try to keep it down.

...considering both Wynn and Oghren comment on me and Zev being loud...why is Leliena so surprised when Zev tells her im sleeping with him?

Oh, Jenovan is here, another writer. Creature asked in another thread what Zevran would say to Wynne if she asked him to keep his filthy mitts off the Warden.
What would you imagine he would say?

Hmmm, depends on how exactly Wynne said it.  I could imagine him making some kind of humorous reply -- maybe offering to put his filthy mitts on her too? XD   BUT -- I think his ultimate answer would be something along the lines of, it's the Warden's choice to make, not Wynne's, maybe with an extra ding in there for her being a busybody. ;)

I imagine she would do it in her usual self-righteous, judgmental way, with a stern face and a judgmental tone of voice. I don't know, Zevran at 100 adore would probably act completely different then Zevran at, say, 70 care. If at 100 love, and Wynne would still persist on being a meddler in the worst way, I can even imagine him becoming angry.

Meh. I wish I had a writer's imagination

heh, I've wondered that as well (though FemWardens get a different Oghren dialog).

Actually, I don't think it's sex that's keeping Wynne up all night.  I have a picture of the warden and Zevran hanging out, drinking wine, laughing, having fun AND having sex.  And I think that would be something Wynne would object much to.

I get that impression solely from being able to tell Wynne, "Zevran is special, and we have fun together."

Edit: I really get that feeling from the dialog, more than anything else, that Zevran IS the one that the warden can really relax with and be herself.  But that may also be because I just don't see that relationship as purely sexual.

@sabrina: Ah, I had never taken that convo in that manner, but I see how it can be.

I do think the Wynne apologizing to teh Warden re: the relationship with Zevran is the better apology than she gives for Alistair (but that is probably just my mind playing tricks on me thinking they are different)

They are very different.  Alistair is less guarded.  Zevran has a tenderness to his gaze.

Edit: And you can tell Wynne that the tenderness has been there all the time.

good stuff

Oh, I like it when people have just started on Zevran. I can repeat all the good stuff about him without feeling guilty.

But so true, he's just as good as a friend without being romanced. He will be a loyal friend, and the Warden can count on him.

I don't understand this Zevran hate either. His romance is so easy to turn off. Don't hedge, don't challenge him (the don't bother line), just say "No" and he'll back off for good.
Now Leliana..., every play-through, no matter how rude my PC is to her, she suddenly falls in love. I don't mind her, I have little use for her, she and Wynne usually stay in camp, but having to constantly break up with her is getting tiresome.

Can you imagine the screaming and yelling going on in the forums if Zevran was that glitchy?

What's a "bromance"? I'm sorry, I'm not English. I'm pretty good at it, if I say so myself, but I've never heard that word before.

Ah.  You know... I wonder if some of the guys screwed up, thinking being too blunt would offend or something, and thus hedged instead of saying no outright?  I'll have to try it in a playthrough just to find out.  Yeah, haters are just... insecure imbeciles who are going to miss out on possibly the best storry and character development in the game.

I truthfully don't like Leliana.  My Dalish liked her well enough at first... She was kind to him, had her own religious beleafs that she liked to share with others, and liked to ask others about theirs, but didn't try to force her faith on others, so I respected that.  She was a bit ignorant of the Dalish, but unintentionally so, and when I told her so, she handled it wonderfully, saying she never realised how easy it is to acsept things the way they are, but I make her realise how frong that is, and now she has much to reflect on, and thanked me.  I quite liked her at that point, and started the ritual of showering her with gifts.  lol

THEN she opens up to me about how much she loves shoes, and how being a killer was such fun untill she was betrayed and tortured, and she reveals that this was the only reason she fled to Ferelden and the Chantry... to escape.  She had implied in various earlier dialogue that she's repentant, but when she opened up to my character, she did not sound it at all.  She sounded like she had not a single regret about it.  I couldn't be rude to her about it, because it would seem hypocritical from someone who is romancing an assassin, but there weren't good options to politely chalange her views or dig deeper, ether.  She came off verry shallow and complacent, and my aprooval of her droped dramatically f only there was such a meeter. At least Zevran is conflicted about the nature of an Assassin, and deep down has a lot of regret.  Not to mention he was abused since as early as he could remember, raised in squalor as an Assassin aprentice against his will no less, and forced into acsepting his fate or suffer the consequences.  What was Lelliana's memory of her past?  Lovely sitting rooms where she could model the latest fassions and the great fun of the most dangerous game.  Ugh.  I will not do her personal quest.

Shame about the glich.  If she starts doing that in mine, I might just ask her to leave.  It's so... ugh... my character feels it would be cruel to turn her away... he would hope there's more to her, like there's more to Zev... but if there is anyone at camp that makes him uncomfortable it's sweet sweet Leliana.  *shuders*

It's a shame about Alistair's glitch towards the end of the game, as well.  I would be so pissed if Zev had a glitch that serious, because it would be such a waste of an amazing character and storry.  I really think a patch should be done to fix these obvious glitches.  It's lazy of them not to.  They're making plenty of mony, so no excuses about deadlines and alocations of funds, etc.

Oh, and a bromance is basically funny slang denoting a strong plutonic (non-romantic, non-sexual) love between guys.

I imagine my characters laying in bed with Zevran and just talking all night though

I agree with you, Ejoslin. That's exactly what came to my mind as well. Of course they will interact in other ways as well. They are getting to know each other, after all.

As for Leliana, she probably want's to hear it from the Warden her/himself. She does the same to FemPCs. If Wynne hears them, why not her?

Although Oghren doesn't complain about the noise with a FemPC, but he does claim that they 'all know what's going on'.

Except Leliana, apparently. I can imagine how Zevran must've looked when confronted by an angry-faced Leliana asking him if he and the Warden are intimate.

I didn't mean getting drunk.  I meant having fun.  There is a wine bottle by the Warden's bedroll which is why I said drinking wine, but that's not necessary either.  I just see them kicking back, relaxing, laughing, having a good time, having fun, having sex, and all sorts of carrying on that would drive a bitter old woman crazy.

Wynne, when apologizing, says that Alistair is less guarded with the warden.  She says, about Zevran, that there is a tenderness to his gaze that she hadn't seen until now.  Your warden can tell her, "but I've seen it from the beginning."

Edit: to avoid another post . . .

Heh, @ ES, there IS a lot more to Leliana.  She's a cold blooded killer who enjoys hunting down men, but only tortures them when seduction doesn't work.  And does a clean kill whenever possible.  But she doesn't actually LIKE the killing part.

Which Wynne answers "because he allowed you to see it" Well, duh. Wasn't my PC trying to tell her just that? Really!

@ EccentricSage

The glitchy Leliana happens to FemPCs far more often. Males are usually safe from her ninja-love™ when they tell her "no, go away" (paraphrased)

@ Cuddlezarro

The FemPC gets the "he told me" line. There's no boasting mentioned. Well now, that sheds a whole other light on Leliana, doesn't it?:P

Well, until it was confirmed, you were only having a hard workout. She could have come angry faced and asked what that noise was, to which Zev boasted about his and the wardens sexual adventures. It is more fun to imagine it that way.

Weren't you the one who made me spit out my coffee in the other thread that had a similar question about Leliana? It was you who said "She closes her eyes and tells herself: they're training, they're training...." wasn't it.

And don't deny it, I'm onto you, Herr Uhl.

It is the ONLY thing that keeps her in camp instead of dead in most of my playthroughs.  And she's lucky that Zevran doesn't fall in love until after you can defile the ashes, or else she'd die every time!

she told my character that she found out because Zevran was pretty much telling every one that that would listen that he slept with me

sounds a bit like boasting to me

dear old Xander wasnt all to impressed while he doesnt care what people think about his sexuality he doesnt like his private life being made public like that

Hmm, that's a good point, Zevran's reply might vary based on how he feels about the Warden (there might be a flip at Adore).  I can see him getting into that irritated zone like he gets in some of the banters, and maybe defending the PC's ability to love AND keep his/her head on straight and attend to duty.

This.  I completely didn't mean to imply they got drunk together at night.  Just that they had fun, and sex was only a part of it.  Wynne seems to object to grey wardens being human.

Why would the warden and Zevran fall in love if it were only sex all night?  Seems that would get boring after a few months, no matter how good it was.
