Hah, this, really.  I've yet to see any porn that really does it for me beyond academic interest or laughter.  My kmeme stuff started out as an attempt to make myself more comfortable with writing sex, and I don't know why I haven't stopped.  I like to look at people, at bodies and shapes and such, and find certain ones more appealing than others, but I've never seen any material that really inspired me to activities.

If it adds to a character, why not write? Then again, it might not be porn anymore in spite of the sexual content. It's more like the difference between entertainment and art. Entertainment is about maintaining, even amplifying your existing prejudices, art is about widening your outlook, seeing things from different, sometimes odd angles.

I came to terms with the Awakening Epilogue (after complaining about it!).  It was just so much better for my character than the Origins one was.

I have a question about mods. I'm considering modding zevran_main.dlg but two things are stopping me. First is, I'll have to make four versions -- one for Vanilla, one for DT, one for ZevRing, and one for DT-ZevRing. There are different bugs in all four, plus I'd like every line in the first time sexytime to lead to a kiss AND I'd like to change the dialog at the end when he's declaring his friendship -- I'd like the romance starter line, if you're already in love, to lead to the friendship line (I consider you more than a friend) as he should already know that if the two are in a relationship.



The other thing that is stopping me is qwinn1234's fixmod. I have a feeling that if I do this, and I make four versions, and it IS time consuming to do this (though not so bad), he will "discover" the major Zevran bugs and also do his best to make those obsolete therefore making doing this a waste of my time.



So, opinions? Would something like this be appreciated and at least used for awhile? Or should I just let it go? The other problem is, if I DON'T address the bugs, my guess is Qwinn1234 won't "find" them. *sigh* Am I sounding whiny?

Well...it made no sense, and was a completely confusing cluster...

 you ran off to antiva and possibly did stuff (it was left vague) thats not confusing at all =/

'scuse me while I indulge my LOLFANFIC muscle! Missa Brosca approachs sex pragmatically and like it's an extension of a human (or dwarven!) need to have sweaty fun, emotional attatchment to it is something that's never happened.

Her sexuality actually describes her character well, and I've used it as a foil when writing as the way best to describe her outlook in life. You know... "fancy a tumble? Yeah? Alright." *armpunch*

So yes! It adds character, and I damn well write it.

You could always ask him if he's planning on addressing them anytime soon.

Not really. "I will always love you" can be true even if you are no longer together. I am with you until the end, implies by your side, at least to me.

I don't see any disagreement here. If you get people into laughing at themselves, then you have fallen, or better risen far above from the category of pure entertainment for drooling dolts. Some call it art, some skill. I'm all for loltastic stuff.

Edit: Ugh, I forgot about the issue with the Leliana jealousy.  Hmmmm, ok, well...  ANYTHING is better than Zevran referring to a female warden as a man!

Well I don't know this Qwin person, but I know your mods are awesome. I wouldn't have likely romanced Zev without yours and CHarsen's mods. So...you make it, I use it. Pretty easy!

I'd say, go for it, if only you have the time. Qwinn seems to be adamant with his solo project. Well, good for him, I guess. You, however, have the support of people and you're capable of teamwork.

*hugs* Lady Jess. Qwinn1234 is making an all-incompassing fixpack (a good idea) but is not being very good about working with other modders. He found most of issues on his most recent version by reading my bugfix list. It's frustrating for me, because he wants to basically make his mod the one to use, but he only knows about these bugs because I put in the work.

Had I known that a couple of months after finishing my mod (and it's still in beta and still being worked on) it would be replaced by someone who is pushing HARD for his mod to be THE one used, I probably wouldn't have bothered. But if I hadn't have bothered, he would not have known about the issues.

*grin* So it puts me in a bit of a quandry over how much work I actually want to put in. But it's kind of fun, which is why I'm doing it. But I won't do complex changes. However, some of the Zevran bugs are pretty bad. So I may as well! It will be separate from ZDF, though, since there will be four versions!

Edit: Thanks UpiH!  I have to admit, I would not have been able to do this on my own, but I wouldn't have wanted to either.  Charsen, Terra_Ex, and cmessaz are all incredibly awesome people who have been completely patient with me.  I understand why Qwinn1234 wants to do his project solo (it is good on a resume to have released the major "unofficial" fixpacks for several games) but I'm not sure that will help him as much as he thinks it does.  

Anyway, I'm going to make sure my fix to the Leliana works ok, and if it does, I hopefully will have all four out by tomorrow!
