There's always the people who will use yours just because it's yours. :P

It took years and years before the community was able to fix all the bugs in Baldur's Gate, vanilla game, not to talk about those Big World, Trilogy, Tutu etc mods. So, methinks Qwinn has undertaken a vast project and I'm not at all convinced, he'll make it 100% anytime soon.

@ Ejoslin, I like to use your mods because you know and understand the game so well. However, I can understand that it would be a pain to do all that work if somebody else is just going to use your list of bugs. (I think a lot of people would go for an all-encompassing fixpack, if it was available. I know I would, if I didn't read this thread). So yes, I'd love you to do the mods, but I understand why you wouldn't want to!

*hugs* Lady Jess. Qwinn1234 is making an all-incompassing fixpack (a good idea) but is not being very good about working with other modders. He found most of issues on his most recent version by reading my bugfix list. It's frustrating for me, because he wants to basically make his mod the one to use, but he only knows about these bugs because I put in the work.

Had I known that a couple of months after finishing my mod (and it's still in beta and still being worked on) it would be replaced by someone who is pushing HARD for his mod to be THE one used, I probably wouldn't have bothered. But if I hadn't have bothered, he would not have known about the issues.

*grin* So it puts me in a bit of a quandry over how much work I actually want to put in. But it's kind of fun, which is why I'm doing it. But I won't do complex changes. However, some of the Zevran bugs are pretty bad. So I may as well! It will be separate from ZDF, though, since there will be four versions!

From what I saw in the link that was just posted, he's fixing things the way *he* thinks they should be fixed. Whereas you, seem to fix things just how they should work, and make a better relationship with the characters in the process, by actually caring about the characters and the players. It's like comparing scultpors...one uses a hammer and chisel to get what they want, where another molds the clay carefully and gently into a clear and smooth form. Besides, I like picking and choosing which dialogs need modded for my game. Some of the quirks in, say Morrigan I am never really going to notice. Same with Leliana mostly. But Zev...he just keeps getting better.

I don't see any disagreement here. If you get people into laughing at themselves, then you have fallen, or better risen far above from the category of pure entertainment for drooling dolts. Some call it art, some skill. I'm all for loltastic stuff.

When people talk about drooling dolts, I feel offended somehow.

I don't think, you should. Maybe you're just curious and like Ellen Parr and some others have said, the cure for boredom is curiousity; there's no cure for curiousity.

Well, I wouldn't regard, say, a guillotine as a cure for dandruff, for example.

Are you Welsh by happenstance? They called that man like The Tiger of Wales hereabouts. Girls threw their unmentionables at him, I'm told.

You all gave me awesome reasons to do these final fixes! Gah, they should be a part of all fixes anyway :/ So I'll quit being silly about the whole thing.

15 hours, 15 minutes

Alley's going to be a pain in the ass to color, haha. I have to make up a whole new skin-tone for her, not to mention the facial scarring.

At least their armor should be relatively easy. *dooms self by saying so*

I have a question about mods. I'm considering modding zevran_main.dlg but two things are stopping me. First is, I'll have to make four versions -- one for Vanilla, one for DT, one for ZevRing, and one for DT-ZevRing. There are different bugs in all four, plus I'd like every line in the first time sexytime to lead to a kiss AND I'd like to change the dialog at the end when he's declaring his friendship -- I'd like the romance starter line, if you're already in love, to lead to the friendship line (I consider you more than a friend) as he should already know that if the two are in a relationship.

The other thing that is stopping me is qwinn1234's fixmod. I have a feeling that if I do this, and I make four versions, and it IS time consuming to do this (though not so bad), he will "discover" the major Zevran bugs and also do his best to make those obsolete therefore making doing this a waste of my time.

So, opinions? Would something like this be appreciated and at least used for awhile? Or should I just let it go? The other problem is, if I DON'T address the bugs, my guess is Qwinn1234 won't "find" them. *sigh* Am I sounding whiny?

It's a lot of work for you, but would be appreciated by those who use your mod. Having every first time sexytime lead to a kiss would be FAR more natural. I'd love to see this.

As to his mod potentially making yours obsolete, I wouldn't worry about that. I'll never use his mod so I do have a vested interest in not seeing you or other dialog modders give up (had to let you know that as I am not unbiased on this subject).

So, from me, yes please do those fixes!

One minute it's pretty blondes with a perky body, the other it's a Michelle Rodrigrez-type tough girl. Women I have more on an instant attraction, like DAMN YOU'RE PRETTY, LET'S MAKE OUT. Men takes a longer time to connect with, but I do find them attractive.

Even I wouldn't say no to Michelle Rodriguez, and I consider myself 100% gay.

AND it's up. All four versions are in one archive. I realized there's a small approval bug in the non-DT versions of the first sexy time kiss, but I have to reinstall the toolset to fix it, and I think most people who romance Zevran have Dialog Tweaks anyway. The issue is, though, that the kisses when he invites you should have an approval gain tied to them, and they don't -- it's only tied to the spoken line (*sigh*). When I reinstall the toolset, I'll put up a new version of the non-DT versions with that added.

Aroihkin, that is amazing. *sigh* I'm so envious of your talent!

Edit: Gah, thank you Elps!  /cry, I seriously love the people here.

Now I have to figure out what to do about the party banters.  I'm getting complaints about a couple of the Zevran/Alistair ones.  If I change them, I'll probably either take them out entirely and just leave the Oghren/Shale ones in.  I don't know for sure yet, though.
