I keep making new characters because this girl Honor <----- is in love with Alistair and will be queen (I'm going to play them in order I make them). so,Zev will have to wait until a few more characters before he'll get any love for a while.

Hm, looks like things have gone a bit quiet, so I'll drop in.

I hate making up new skin-tones like woah, so for now I'm just sort of slapping random color onto Alley's face. 16.5 hours. Note that Zev's face isn't done either; I just felt like having more than one part of the picture "3D". I also added to the bottom some more in an effort to make it more obvious that her braid is indeed still attached. It's something like knee-length, so I'll just pretend there's more of it behind her than if it was taut. I may have to get creative and loop some of it over her opposite pauldron before it crosses back behind her or something. Which is a thought... it'd help break up some of the texture-wars the two armor types are probably going to have.

There's a reason Alley's hair is usually wrapped up in a tight bun. And it probably weighs a ton. I bet she gets nasty migraines from it!

Well, I have characters who think that was adorable, too. One's evil and was amused, the other was good but cocky, and thus amused that he thought he had a chance.

Alley was a little amused, at least once it came time to interrogate the guy... with his fresh concussion. IIRC she even had a bit of fun with it, tapping on her shield and such. But she's a bit unhinged at the best of times, so "fun" has to be taken in that context. She's also actually pretty content to stomp around the countryside solving problems with violence and the (intimidate) option, so there you go. Civilian or diplomat she really isn't.

17 hours, plotting out the other loop of braid and such. His middle finger is how the ring finger and pinky are going to end up, so ignore how flat they look. Hell, just keep in mind that nothing's done, and go on from there.

I love waking up to pictures in the morning. Thanks for that! I've only just realised that I can click on it and make it bigger. It's looking great! Her hair is quite thick even towards the end, so I imagine it IS very heavy. Maybe she should get together with my bald dwarf and they could try to find some middle ground.



By the time Zevran comes along my characters are used to people trying to kill them. It always seems such an unlikely chance that he doesn't get killed though, considering all the other characters are either dead or still trying to hit you.

One more before I zzz, I took fifteen minutes and fixed Alley's skin-tone, since it started to bother me. Neither face has the darkest or lightest shades on yet, so they're both pretty low contrast. And I haven't even shaded around her eye. Also, I need to redo her eyeballs, but that's pretty easy to do.

And yay Sannox, glad you like the WIP. Alley's hair is stupid-long as a nod to several previous versions, although still able to stuff under a helmet unlike some of the crazy stuff on the nexus. XD

I should make a future version of her bald, just for the lulz. She's had short hair before, by which I mean chin or shoulder length, but never shaved. Perhaps the next modern!Alley.

I decided to see what the fuss about Zevran is about and made my elf mage romance him but I'm kinda wishing I didn't bother. I have made sure to string along Alistair as a backup plan and will wait til just before the landsmeet before I choose one permantley and save.



Question - Does Zevran get more romantic after the tent scene? I've tested it out but haven't saved. Right now, the relationship seems to be based on sex/lust not love...if I wait til I complete his sidequest will that change the reason why he wants to sleep with you and make it more about love?

Nu-nu, are you looking for spoilers? I don't want to give away too much if you want to just wait and see how the romance progresses.  If that's the case, skip the rest of this post.

SPOILERS:
If you've had the Rinna conversation, you'll know that Zevran has very confused and ambivelant feelings about love. Before the Landsmeet, what he feels and what he's able to recognise in himself (and show) are two very different things. From what he says later, it looks like he starts falling in love the first time you go to the tent together. He just doesn't know it at the time.  His approval goes up every time you go to the tent, too, unlike the other characters, which suggest to me that the sex is meaningful for him.

Yes, after the sidequest he does change. Once he starts to understand what he feels for the warden he will refuse to go to the tent, and you'll need to talk to him about what he feels.

I don't see anything wrong with it being just about sex/lust at the beginning. But if you want it to be about love right from the start, I think the dialogue supports that, even if you don't get the chance to speak about it at the time.

Most certainly. I'm being vague as I don't want to spoil anything, but he changes very significantly during his personal quest. It can also be interpreted that he was changing all along, and that his personal quest in the catalyst that causes him to admit it.

Well, she is creepy ..... although I've been tempted to say that sort of thing to guys who overdo the flirting. 

I did like her a little more after playing through her romance.  She was strange during the romance, but was such a good sport when I finished it.

Thanks that's been very helpful. I will persevere with Zevran. I'm just not sure whether I'll wait til Alistair breaks up with the mage and then go after Zevran, or finish it with Alistair before the landsmeet.
