Well, it was either that or the naked pictures of redheaded males site and it's too much work to censor it...

The thread got quiet again.

Do we need Zevran kisses to bring people back?

Posted Image

Yeah, ever since I learned how to make these animated gifs I've been impulsively creating a bunch of them. Hope I'm not overdoing it.

I yoinked the source video from ejoslin's Youtube channel since I don't have a dwarf yet myself.

Hahaha, animated dwarf kisses, now for 50% more counter-trolling. And a redhead, too!

And aww, nice pic Verly. :3

I just found a bunch of freaking mold trying to grow under my mousepad, so I've been busy soaking said mousepad down with pau d'arco (it's also an anti-fungal) and scrubbing my desk. D: I sometimes set my tea down on it and some gets spilled sometimes, so obviously moisture got trapped and... ew.

Lol Aro, that is disgusting D: Once I found out what had my ex-BF under and behind his keyboard I sorta knew I will never ever move with this guy into one room (the end forshadowing?). *is a bit neat freak*

Haha, at least I'm cleaning it. :P

Every once in a while I go all OCD on cleaning my keyboard as best as I can, running frayed q-tips between/under the keys and wiping down my mouse and such. Under the mousepad was sort of horrifying. I'm currently working on a retired schooldesk, the sort that the top flips up and there's a compartment inside? The impractical type rather than the cubby-hole type.

Anyway, the surface is like waterproofed all to hell and back, so whatever got under the mousepad... stayed there. D:

Holy crap, so for the last two hours, I was working on this:

Posted Image

It's the "I have two guns, one for each of ya." scene. Which I'm apparently doing as a comic page. Hence the layout. That's at about half-size rather than my usual 1v1 postings, and I had to squint at crappy crappy crappy crappy *sobs* CRAPPY quality footage for the last two hours to get those lines.

I decided to reference directly from the movie for the poses and clothing and such, scribbling out the lines while staring at specific screencaps and trying to copy them relatively closely, figuring it would save me time for my goofy parody picture. Now I'm not so sure it was worth it. XD So much squinting...

Next I get to draw Zev's face. At least when I stare at screenshots of him they're large and relatively crisp. I swear my eyes are crossed.

Oh, and I did that without a damn mouspad, because I'm insane. So my mouse was being a squirly little retard the whole time. I didn't mean to do it, I was goofing off with screencaps and figuring out what I'd put where and then two hours had gone by, my head was splitting open, and I'd done linework.

FFFFFFFFFFFffffffffffffffff--

And I still want to somehow do the Huckleberry one too, though I might limit myself to one-frame thing for that. God.

I'm keeping my shading effing simple this time, too. I'm just doing this for the lulz. I'll keep telling myself that, too, and maybe it'll stick.

But it probably won't. D:

I've been kinda wanting to do this for like a month and a half now. So I'm probably doomed.

I am sure he is. But there might be a rift in the time-space continuum if something that irresistible got posted on this forum.

*facepalm* Feel free to back me up with better evidence/reasoning, guys.

I'm too foggy to come up with better. :/ And since this "prisoner" guy obviously hasn't even gotten Zev to the point in a *friendship* to hear the Rinna story, my cynical ass is expecting to be argued with.

Edit: Yep, arguement it is. Remind me why I ever poke my head out of Zev's slice of fandom? I don't climb into discussions on Leliana and argue with people about her. Since I've never given the character much of a chance, I don't think I can predict her motives.

*cranky* But Zev attracts that, I guess. At least it isn't an arguement about him being disease-ridden or something.

Instead, it's just about how he totally just stabs the Warden in the back because he wants to get paid, or something. Ugh.

Edit 2: I guess I just don't get what people who have never paid much attention to the character think his motivation for the betrayal is. Do they assume random malice? Sheer stupidity? And I don't think I'm even being particularly arrogant; it's stated fairly clearly by the character himself that until/unless given something else to hold onto, he's suicidal as hell.

And also in other dialogues, he doesn't particularly want Taliesen to die. I feel it fairly clear that his choice to "betray" a neutral Warden is more about Taliesen and his own self-destruction than the Warden, but if one takes that off the table... what else is there? He's just being a dumb assassin-face? I don't get it. Going back to the Crows is death, assuming he and Taliesen somehow beat the Warden, and he knows that...

I don't have a LJ account, but what happens if you let Zevran go is he goes never to be heard of again. Taliesen still tries to kill you, but Zevran has no part in it.

As far as people who are convinced they know a character they know nothing about? They're just trolling you!

Edit: Verly, you are an adorable redhead!  Gah, so cute!

Second edit: Zevran knew the warden would win against Taliesen.  He says so if he leaves the encounter -- that he was leaving Taliesen to his fate.  If Zevran sides against the warden, there's no reason to think that he thinks that they'll win.

Third edit: I can't post anonymously, but here's what I WOULD have posted if I could have!

In the encounter with Taliesen, if Zevran doesn't fight, but leaves (this can happen if you're in a romance with him but not yet to adore), Zevran can tell you afterwards he knew the warden would win, and he was leaving Taliesen to his fate.  If he stays and fights, he also tells Talisen that he is going to lose, and that he should have stayed in Antiva.  There's no reason to think that Zevran, if he betrays you, thinks that they have a chance of winning.

When I set a game up to get this outcome I didn't feel Zevran was really betraying the Warden. The way I see it is he gave up on his oath after finding the Warden didn't treat him with any more respect than he had gotten from the Crows. He gave fair warning when they met that he only gave his loyalty when it was deserved. Then, having realised there was nothing for him with the Warden's party, no future anywhere, he sided with Taliesen knowing full well that the Warden would kill them all. There's no way the Crows would let him live, despite what Taliesen said,  so he was a dead man either way. It seemed to me that siding against the Warden was Zevran's version of suicide by cop.

Oh, you're probably right about the betrayal, but I'm not sure what other word to use (haven't had coffee yet!).  I agree that it was suicide by grey warden, both times.

I agree with Aro, EJ and Epls - the said 'betrayal' is definitely just another suicide attempt. I made him leave the Taliesin fight in this playthrough and he is very much certain that Taliesin will loose.  I think he says "You will loose and you will loose badly."
Thought I wouldn't be so sure what would have happened if Taliesin + Zevran won and got back to Crows, that is not really explained and the only two people ever addressing it may have lied. Or one of them is definitely lying.

:) But it's better to check, it may indicate whether is worth to check the joystick as well or not.
I swear there were living things and they were just about to invent the wheal

There is a reason that I change keyboards every year. Mostly due to sticky drinks though.
