Haha, prom. My best friend of the time (photographer friend of the past) spent weeks convincing me to go, and set me up with some guy I never met. He stood my arse up. Would it surprise anyone to know the dress I bought was a floor-length black vinyl halter-top thing? No? Okay, carry on then.

I did wander around in downtown Seattle in it a few years later, though. Twice. That was interesting.

Edit: Here, since it doesn't seem to exist online by itself anymore: I posed like a dork in it when living in Seattle. Partially to show off the sword and my sweet room decor though. It was all wrinkly from being balled up in my closet for a few weeks. Yeah, I dunno either.

Oh, that happened to me just last week! I got together with two friends I hadn't seen in months because of college and they had a digital camera an in four hours literally managed to take hundres of pictures and went through and posted all the bad ones on Facebook...

I see a redhead and I see a dress but it doesn't really look like th redhead is the one in the dress.

I was actually really lucky that I found it having, due to the fact I didn't actually want to go, put off doing the shopping until the night before.

I didn't go to mine willingly. My parents were all 'we're paying for your ridiculously expensive college so the least you can do is spend three hours at the ceremony.'

We didn't have proms in my day. It was the 70s and we had school dances, which were part disco, part ceiliedh (sp?). I vaguely remember getting tipsy in the toilets and (accidentally) flashing my t*ts at the teachers. Happy days.

(We didn't have graduations either.  And I left at 16).
