In my case, sticking to the manga as much as I can. And IIRC unless something slipped into my list, it's all official art I'm posting today.















(Here's one anime one, in a car. It was drawn for box-art promotion if I remember right, and is not in the actual anime.)






The anime version of Saiyuki has but one redeeming quality to it that's actually enough for me to forgive it. Mostly.

The voice-acting.

And, because three of the four main characters are VA'd by pretty good singers... the soundtracks.

Here's Blow Winds, one of many songs with all three. Gojyo goes first, then Goku, then Sanzo. Meh, I just now found out that the youtube link cuts off at the end and goes into some spastic random stupid thing. Screw that.

Have Gojyo and Sanzo singing Bad Friends. Gojyo's the first one to go solo here too.

You made me think about what happens in the Darkspawn Chronicles (if we're taking the codex as canon.   I  liked to think of it as a kind of AU thing).   Presumably Alistair killed Taliesin, but do you think Taliesin found Zevran?  Presumably not, because Zevran is still in Ferelden and hasn't gone back to the Crows, and Taliesin isn't with him.  I suppose Alistair killed Taliesin before he (Taliesin) could track down Zevran.

Zevran is perhaps going for suicide by darkspawn instead of suicide by grey warden.   But who knows? Maybe he was startting to find a life in the Alienage?   Maybe he thought fighting the darkspawn was a worthy cause?    It was kind of touching to see him defend the Alienage so passionately.   (But my point was, the Darkspawn Chronicles still fit with Zevran seeking death). 

Does Taliesin still attack you if you kill/send away Zevran? If not then I don't see why he'd attack Alistair. Maybe he never found Zevran?

Taliesen attacks no matter what.

My high school didn't have a prom.  It was a tiny alternative school, and most people just weren't interested.  I remember there was a small group of people who tried to organize one, but it didn't go anywhere.

Hah, the yellow eyes have gotten me all sorts of comments, but never, "Wow, you have such sexy yellow eyes!"  Even complements have been along the lines of, "I've never seen eyes that color before!  Very... interesting."  *grin*  

You have to admit, the redheads who posted their pictures today are very hot.

And speaking of hot redheads posting their pictures...

I don't think it's that bad...esepecially if you ignore most of the recent plot...and there are a lot of very pretty guys populating that world...

I've tried diligently to like anime. I really have. "SOIGNEE! WATCH THIS, YOU'LL LIKE IT. It's a classic," says my anime/manga loving friends. So I do. And then I go, "lolwat. No. What? NO." 

"Oh, you have to watch Akira!" I do, do I? So I try, and nope! Not doing anything. I'm left feeling horribly confused and that I'm missing something. I've had Bleach pimped at me (both books and cartoon), Helsing, something with else with vampires, something about a ballet dancer who turns into a superhero, Ghost in the Shell...

You know the only anime I can tolerate? (And even then in small doses) this:


It's a cartoon series about a kitten. Aimed at 5 year olds. Yeah. that's about it.

Every few years I'll try again with the "must watch" at the time and Fail Miserably At Liking Anime. As usual.
