What the picture actually is, is a plan for a picture, I plan to try and draw. I posted it because I wanted to check that everyone who is in it, is happy with the layout and what their doing.

If any wants moving around, or to be goosing someone etc, NOW is the time to tell me before I start drawing it.

I was
basing it on Avatar's. Sannox, Soignee, Mina, You and I (well my main) are all dwarves unless I'm mistaken. As i said if you want a different character just say (and send me a few screenshots).

@ MG -- I'm still cracking up at this. And Soignee's in the middle of the two gals like "YEAAAH I HAVE LADYFRIENDS~" lol. And I don't mind being drawn as Alley, that's just what I thought of when I saw the pic. XD

@ Radahldo -- Haha, thanks. It fits the character pretty well, she's a bit more hatchet-faced than the game allows me to make her for the avatar, but she's definitely the type of gal who slips a pair of shades on after wiping the blood off her split knuckles from someone's face. Srs bsns city elf.

In the DA iteration, she did not precisely fold laundry or assist-cook for a living before Duncan walked in. XD Her injuries combined with her mother's training have made it so that she's only really any good at one thing these days; combat. I'm sure Cyrion was thrilled with this development. It'll make Awakening politics and garbage interesting if I write it, though I'm not letting Zev run off without her if I do.

Edit: I'm TMI'ing about my OC again, I know. But Alley + politics reminds me of a quote from NCIS about the Alley-like character in it:

Captain Todd Gelfand: How well do you know Gibbs?
Director Sheppard: He was my mentor at NCIS. He taught me most of what I know.
Captain Todd Gelfand: Yet you're his boss.

Your current is classy too, but shots from diferent angles and stuff always help with that sort of thing. :3

Why can't you get the colors the same? Do the different copies of the game (I'm assuming that one is on a console) have different sliders or something?

The coloring really does look different between the Xbox and PC versions of the game.

I'm not sure. I can't get the eyes off black, either, so I'm assuming it's the fact that the video cartridge on my computer isn't quite good enough to show the light blonde hair color or any eye color but black. I know it's below what it says the game requires.

What? Just because they look similar? And Anora is very pretty. Even Alistair calls her his 'beautiful fiance' when he's pissed you married him to her and spared Loghain. I don't think many people complain about her looks, just her voice, her personality, her ruthlessness, her sentimentality...pretty much everything but her looks.

Alley as a character is fifteen real-life years old, her first version dates back at around 1995 in a chat-based Dragonlance-setting online RP game. It's less about making her X Y Z and more "this is the character from my collection who I threw into the Warden slot, and this is how she best translates into the setting."

Beyond that, I dunno. There's a ton of fanfic about Wardens, and most of what I've read is very well-written and entertaining, but a lot of it fits neatly in "what-you'd-expect" categories. I don't particularly want to do the same thing, it defeats the purpose of me writing it to begin with; it's not like I'm hurting for other fanfic I could be working on instead. If I'm going to do it, I'm going to do something different.

Why do you ask? I don't particularly see her as outside of canon, even if she's frequently outside of convention. I'm often told IO's draw is how different the Warden is, while still consistent. She'd better be consistent, if she was a real person who was born when I first made her, she'd be a sophomore in highschool now. Three more years and she can vote! Haha.

As for why I used Alley instead of one of my other OCs, she's never really had a primary spot in a fanfic before. Normally she's a supporting character; the captain of the guard for the main character's town, the main character's silently-menacing bodyguard, or the desert-bandit-turned-rebel-leader who kidnaps the main character and forces them to help the cause, etc. I usually use her to initate and prod along plot, she's not usually the one being prodded.

She's also never been in a romance before, despite how long I've had her, although one roleplay iteration came close. So I wanted to explore that a bit, though I almost took the easy route and made IO a buddy-fic anyway.

Besides, fanfic needs more ugly ass-kickers. The crushed hands are a new touch; usually Alley is a clay-sculptor and this version probably was as well before she tried to avenge Adaia with a brick. Her screwed-up voice is several iterations old now, to one degree or another. That nose goes back all the way, however, as does the stupidly-long braid with the grey streaks. She's had different skin-tones, vastly different heights, different races (D&D dragon, human, WoD sidhe and DA elf in that order, and probably something else I'm forgetting), and originally had flat grey eyes. I changed them to blue when I created her half-brother in... 1999? 2000? 2001? Somewhere around there.

Oh, and she's never politics-savy. Even the version who was a rebel leader kidnapped the main character because he knew what the game was and how to beat it. She's clever, but her expertise is very limited. And Alley wouldn't know what to do with a civilian life if it knocked her to the ground and bit her on the nose. All the more reason she could be entertaining even post-Blight. XD She's quite liable to go off and find a fight somewhere if it gets too quiet. Like, say, stirring up trouble with the Crows.

Meh, I ramble too much. That's what you get for asking a simple question, I guess.

l like your masterpiece MorGothic. I don't need to be moving around or goosing anybody, thank you. (That can wait). I see all the mothers are collected together! But where's Ramante? Is she at the end with you?

I have a soft spot for Anora. On my first playthrough, my dwarf was quite impressed with her. She's a tough woman, and my dwarf felt that at last she could leave this whole business in somebody else's hands and go off to defeat the archdemon. I haven't played a character that married her yet, though. I might feel differently then.

Ah-hah, Tell is just fine being left out.  And if you add Tell you must add Jen and Sresla... and then things get crowded.

Everyone assumes Missa is pretty, I don't mind. In my head she just has interesting eyes and that's about it. Her mouth is always quirked, her nose is bent out of shape and she's covered in tattoos. No idea where I got her from, to be honest. Just appeared out of nowhere, arm punching people. She hates shoes, for goodness sake! And clothes are just something you wear to her! *sobs*



I don't think I can recycle Missa and use her in another universe, her story is very much tied with being a dwarf (duster specifically) and/or a warden.



All the artwork I've got she usually never wears much. I've no idea why... Again, I don't mind though
