I'm of the opinion that "They raped me, but now I love them!" stuff is just bad writing, especially in fanfic. But fanfic is the land of a lot of wtf stuff, like using water as lube. When it totally breaks physics or the reasonable limits of the human psyche (without being explained very well), it's at the point of bad writing IMO. It's like how one generally shouldn't write detailed sex without at least researching how it really works, if one is a virgin.

I was talking purely about the kinkmeme stuff, rather than fanfiction in general.  It's purely for fun there, and purely meant just to be a turn on, isn't it?

Oh that's just typical!  A pagetopper with a post that I was thinking 'I bet I wouldn't be posting this if I hadn't had a drink!'   Now what kind of picture can I possibly put with this?

OK so, lolfanfic question for those that read Dead Duster Walking.

14000 words for one chapter is too much, but if I cut it down to two parts the first half is basically:

*Tapsters/Lord Helmi (who is a cool dude and offers interesting insights about casteless/caste relations)
*Lina being a crazy b*tch
*Zevran and Missa are stunted emotional idiots (again)
*Lady Dace is a nasty piece of work
*LOL DEEP ROADS
*Alistair's a lulzy idiot
*Assassination attempt


The second half is much more punchy and fun and violent, and has more of a pay off, and I did it to balance out the pace of the first. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF- WUT I DO WUT

Yay, this looks like 19 and 20 are soon?  It really doesn't matter if you break it down into two to me; I'll read them both at the same time.

Edit: In seriousness, you should break it down into two chapters, because 14000 words IS a lot.  It's ok if your resolution is in the second chapter.

If you break it into two chapters and have both done then you can make sure to have a quicker update while you write chapter 21.

Contains no Zevran, sadly. But none of the prompts for him have really caught my eye yet. :/ I clearly need to browse through again, now that Tannusen has slipped out of his cage. I may have to use a naked Zevran as bait to get him back in there.

Erm, also, posting porn makes me nervous. So... DISTRACTION BOWIE!

Most of the Zevran prompts haven't inspired me either.  I don't know why that is.

this is really beautiful Mina. their faces seem very classical art in style. i tried to figure out what artist this reminds me of, but it's been a while since i took art history. i thought maybe ~raphael perhaps, or at least of that era's style. very nice. =)

Where and the way you ended made it work, if you hadn't split the chapter, it would ruined it due to too much happening in a single chapter, but with the chapter seeming reasonably calm you set the scene for the sh!t to really hit the fan in the next one.  

Does that make sense?

Can't await for Chapter 20.

And I only know that as I had to type it out in Word because once you hit a certain length in the review window then it keeps flashing up to the top of your review so you can't see what you're writing.

And I adore the dwarven politics. Seriously, the game should have had more of them. And maybe more assassination attempts instead of fanatics trying to kill you on the street with everyone watching. And since Bhelen's greeting speech is so awesome and so is finding evidence Bhelen set you up, I think that's my new favorite way to play it.

jsut seems to be the dwarf noble way- assassins make sense instead of "fanatics." Much more practical then being jumped on randomly, but that's probably game mechanics.
