And Wynne's take on the matter is so horrible that I'd rather she didn't say anything. When she says her 'who could ask for more' and you say Alistair she says something about how he's a poor boy but people would rather gawk at a something living and by that she means you. If you say Loghain she's all snippy and 'well, he can't have expected anything more.' It's like: I get you don't like him but he just died to save everyone! Show some freaking respect! Even Alistair is more respectful of Loghain's sacrifice.

That is horrible.  And nobody else will say anything.  I didn't know that!  I thought they would be heroes.  I'm never going to be able to let them do it now!   What about all the companions who have been with Alistair for months?  They should say something. 

And it's even worse when you consider that with Loghain Anora comments, Alistair comments, Anora builds a statue overlooking the Orlesian Embassy that freaks them out and has tons of visitors...More people care if Loghain dies doing it than Alistair.

That's understandable. Loghain was the Hero of River Dane, he was known by everyone. By comparison Alistair was a nobody. Apart from a very few, nobody knew Alistair was Maric's son until the Landsmeet. A few people knew him as a boy, some templars knew him but didn't think much of him, and his companions knew him for periods of a few months to a year. Morrigan and the PC were with him the longest of the companions. Morrigan hated him so she wouldn't have a nice thing to say. However, some of the others should have had something to say. Sten could have commented on how Alistair had finally shown some backbone, Leiliana would have sung her song, Zev would have thought it a waste, and the Warden had lost either a good friend or love and even with survivor's guilt would have wanted to say a few words of farewell. 

This would probably be worth making a mod for actually.

No good at mods, but I am almost done writing a fanfiction about the PC going after Alistair... >.>

ETA: It seems to me that you are putting much more work into this than a little kmeme fill warrants!  Or maybe it's just me that's sloppy about the fills (I'm just pleased if I actually manage to write something).  I'm very nervous about posting when I see the standard of work that you and others are producing.   Not that your research isn't very much appreciated.

It's probably because I'm anonfailing and don't want to hear "OMG, you didn't sterilize that!" or "OMG, [NPC] would never do that!" which people are less likely to do to a true-anon (they'll shrug and go "eh, it's porn") but they'll roll their eyes if an ID is attached.

And, honestly? It's only interesting for me to write if I do it this way. I guess I'm not looking at is so much as "lol kmeme" as "oh hey, an excuse to write that one thing! Sweet!" with a side of "although this is the kmeme, so I'll bend the rules of characterization just a little in order to get those two to hump" with some of these non-companion guys, since otherwise it would take me a much longer story to pull it off.

It's just no good without effort. I'm much more easily bored with writing this stuff than I am reading it, if it doesn't come off as geniune as possible. Which in turn is exactly why I'm anonfailing, because if I'm going to put that much effort into it, I'm sticking my damn name on it. Embarassment be damned.

And I pride myself in mostly knowing what I'm doing. Especially with some of this obscure sh*t like in the last fic (although I'm not doing all of them as hardcore as that one) and a lot of this stuff has enough of a bad rep / people who have no idea what it's actually about, without me contributing to it by half-assing it or getting it all wrong.

That said, despite what you may think, I... really don't have much/any porn on my computer. I guess because I'm short on space as it is, and am not used to having highspeed, and etc etc etc. And I have the organizational skills of a wombat. I think 95% of what I have on my computer now came from this thread. XD

It is good that you write your kmeme fills properly.  I've sometimes read stuff (I don't mean there particularly) which isn't realistic and it does pull you out of the moment.   Characters acting out of character I don't mind, because sometimes they're going to have to do things that they wouldn't do, but I can see that it's better to at least show them having some conflict on their way to that point, or you could just be inserting the character names into a generic kink story.  (Which is probably what I've been doing ).  I have read some stories that have been out of character that have still been hot, though.

I noticed something odd while traipsing around Haven yesterday. I switched to Alistair to turn off his sustained abilities..and distinctly heard him say "my love". I haven't talked to him since realizing that his very next convo would be the rose offer (so I technically haven't had it yet), and, while his approval is high, it isn't at 100...Does he fall in love before 100? I've also heard him say something that sounded suspiciously like "sweetheart" or "my sweet", but I couldn't quite make that one out.

On top of that, I thought that he's supposed to say "something you need, my dear?" when he's in love. Or does he only do that after you bed him?

Gah! *runs to Zevran, hides behind his back and peeps out at the creepy Templar stalker* "The scary man in armour is trying to ninja romance meeeeeh!"

It's ironic, really. People are always complaining about how they got ninjamanced by Zevran, but I'm having trouble with Alistair instead X_X
