I have had a long line of rats as pets.  The last one beat up my cats on a regular basis.  He was awesome.

:P Yep.  The hamsters beat up the cats too.  The dogs are afraid of the cats, the rodents and the ferret.  The snake escapes to cuddle with the cat and the smallest of the bearded dragons rides the other two like they are horses.  I have odd critters.

Also
I saw the Missa/Dita Von Tease and I got an idea. I'm not really good at drawing. But since I'm also a Dita
fan, I drew up this:

parts are a bit wonky I know. I dunno what it is, but when I get slightly intoxicated, I'm more determined to finish random projects that pop into my head. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]

Sannox -- Very nicely done there, you're very good at sketching in form especially. Now we just need to get you confident enough to draw more. ;D

Tanith -- Aww, old horsie. I had a quarter horse who eventually went of age, he was a good old boy. I learned to ride on him when I was a kid. My Mother traded an apoloosa who hated women (had been abused by one before she got him) to a bonafide cowboy for Red when he was still a relatively young horse, even trade. Never regretted it.

He was the most patient, awesome horse I ever met. If you didn't know what you were doing or if a kid came running out, ran under him, and wrapped their arms around his front legs from beneath him -- that really happened once -- he was patient and careful and in that latter example, just held Very Still. But if you knew what you were doing and got on his back, he'd play rodeo horse. And he knew how. XDD

(Edit: And no, I wasn't the kid. Hell no. XD I learned to ride a horse before I learned to ride a bicycle!)

I use the paint brush (I'm not sure if it's metalic) . I just like deep colors with some brightness added for the contrast.

Zevran compliments Rinna by saying she had eyes that shone like justice, although he has good reason to hope justice is something he does not get, and a lot of reason to be cynical about it. Discuss!

It's poetry.  I'm not sure Zevran's personal experience of justice really enters into it.

He's trying to convey the experience of Rinna's gaze.  "Gleamed like justice" - that's a very unusual simile.  What does it conjure up?

For me, I see the shine of light on a drawn blade, the piercing beam of a lantern leading an implacable guardsman after a thief, the shimmer of sweat on the face of a man on the gallows at noon.

So: Very intense, very incisive, maybe even a little fanatical.  Conveys a passion for action.  Dangerous if you're on the wrong end of it.  Intense/passionate/dangerous - just up Zevran's alley.

I read it as:

"There was an elven lass. Rinna her name was. She was… All fire and spark. A marvel to watch fight, and she…"

Missa could see where this was going. "She sounds like too much woman for you, Arainai." When he didn't respond, her hands lay limply on his chest, unsure what to say next.

"She was wicked, no doubt. She had these eyes that just gleamed justice, like every mark, every death by her hand was deliberated. Rinna somehow made me feel, or so I thought. She made me realise that…. Well, that there were parts closed to me. And she had found a way in."

A saucy, vicious minx basically. Someone who delights in killing.

Oh, I don't know.  I think he has a sense of justice, but I don't think he believes assassination is wrong in itself.  I don't think he would be worried about receiving justice because of being assassin.

Rinna certainly didn't get justice.

Zevran might be looking for some sort of justice when he wants to tell the truth about Rinna instead of saying that she died in the attempt.    He doesn't get justice, though, because the Crows didn't care and gave him the message that he and Rinna were nothing.   They told him his time would come (justice?) and he has no doubt that it will.

The idea of justice seems to apply after Zevran's death when he seeks it out - perhaps both by wanting to tell the Crows, and by going on a suicidal mission - and he believes it will come to him one day.

However, he seems to be saying that justice came into his mind when he met Rinna, rather than when he was looking back.  Hmm.

Yeah, I agree with this. I think it's just his way of expressing the intensity of her gaze. Don't think he actively means anything else by using the term. But, of course, considering what happened, it also serves as a handy piece of irony.

Depends on how things are in the end-game. You could get creative and change some things.
